For a long time, I've felt this craving to watch/re-watch Criminal Minds. So, I finally splurged and bought S1 on DVD. And now I finished the box set! And I love it as much as I did 10 years ago - I only watched the first two seasons back then.

My favorite character is Reid, closely followed by Morgan. And my favorite thing about the show is Reid and Morgan's friendship. Reid is like a little brother to Morgan, so Morgan is very protective of him. He also likes to tease Reid, but gently, not in a mocking way. Another thing I love about the show is the closeness, the intimacy among the team members. You can feel it, they're a unit. And it's wonderful.

Two things I don't like about the show? Gideon and Elle. I admire both of their devotion to helping victims, but I don't like them as people, especially Gideon. He's a very unlikable guy. But maybe it's simply me not liking Mandy Patinkin, that's also possible. So, I'm actually really looking forward to seeing them both gone from the show in the upcoming seasons.

I wonder what to watch next. Catch up on current shows or watch Hannibal on DVD? Or maybe The X-Files? Or Stargate? Bah, humbug!

Despite mediocre ratings, ABC gave Forever a back-nine order, which means, we'll be getting at least 22 episodes this season! Link. I don't expect a S2 pick-up after that, the ratings are really bad, but I hope the writers will be smart enough - unlike those of The Tomorrow People! - not to end the season on a cliffhanger with fingers crossed for a pick-up. That's selfish and unfair to the viewers, IMHO. So yeah, I hope we get a passable ending, with some loose ends, sure, but an ending nonetheless!

Also, I decided to drop Stalker. I really don't like any of the characters and if I wanted to watch a show about cops chasing psychos, I would rather watch Criminal Minds where the team actually feels like a family, where they trust each other. Which reminds me, I should really watch it. Hm.

Also #2, what's going on with most shows this season? I mean, their ratings! Haven 0.2 demo. White Collar 0.4 demo. Covert Affairs 0.3 demo. Even Graceland - which I don't watch - 0.4 demo. What the heck? *hands* These shows - well, except for Haven which mostly got 0.5 demo - were all 'round the 0.8-1.0 series!

○ CBS renewed 18 shows for 2014-2015: link. Among them NCIS, NCIS:LA, Criminal Minds, CSI, Elementary, Hawaii 5-0 and Person of Interest. The Big Bang Theory was picked up for 3 seasons! No news about The Mentalist, though, even though it's been beating The Good Wife in the ratings every Sunday. Grr!

○ Apparently, Captain America 3 will go head to head with Batman/Superman on May 6, 2016: link. Sheesh, that will be a massacre!

Criminal Minds is adding a new female regular:

Who is it? )

Hm, honestly, don't know what to think of it. Might turn out okay, who knows ::shrugs::

A CM spoiler regarding regular characters, stuff that will piss people off for sure...

Spoilers from Ausiello )

I don't follow the show regularly, still... Don't know what to say.

* According to Ausiello, CBS trimmed Numb3rs:

A CBS spokesperson is confirming that the network has cut Numb3rs‘ episode order from 22 to 16. Translation: This is most likely the show’s final season.

On the other hand, CBS ordered two more eps of NCIS and NCIS:LA (and of other shows that I don't watch) upping their order from 22 to 24 and one more ep of Criminal Minds and The Mentalist (and of other shows that I don't watch) upping their order from 22 to 23!

I'm not really surprised by the trim for N3. The show's doing badly and it's the CBS' worst rated procedural. Besides, the show feels tired. The writers concentrate too much on the private lives of the characters instead of on the cases so in places it feels like a soap opera or a character drama and not a procedural. No real excitement, it's all about Charlie and Amita's wedding, Alan's pension, Don's mental breakdown and his sudden religious fervor - or the lack of it again. The only ones who keep the episodes going are David, Colby, Nikki and Liz. It just feels like the show's not what it used to be anymore. I'll watch till the end but only because I love to watch David and Colby bicker. Those two are hilarious.

A gay movie first:

Timing: Colin Ferguson (“Eureka”, “Because I Said So”) has agreed to lead the ensemble cast of "Timing" in the role of Jesse. Sean Maher (“Serenity”, “Brian’s Song”) will play opposite him as Connor, Jesse’s love interest. The project will be filmed in Charlotte where the story takes place and is based on actual events from the life of Writer/Director A. Blaine Miller.

Logline: "Three Men and a Baby" if all the men were gay and the baby was 17. This story was inspired by actual events.

More info... )

Ha! Colin Ferguson aka Sheriff Carter from Eureka! And Sean Maher aka Simon from Firefly! As lovers! I mean, I loved Sean Maher as John Stamos' lover in Wedding Wars and now he'll play another gay character. Awesome!

CBS's planning a Criminal Minds spin-off! "Details are sketchy, but the spin-off is expected to feature a new team of FBI agents, not existing "Criminal Minds" characters."

I know that they started to plan that last season but then concentrated on NCIS:LA but now they went back to it. Awesome! I'm curious about the cast. I hope that they choose someone that I like!

This chart shows what a promo spot costs aired during various TV shows. You know what's crazy? Supernatural has the third cheapest spots on the CW - right after their failing The Game and Privileged. Even Stylista, a complete bomb if there was a one, demanded more for a spot than their frickin' third most popular show! This is insane!

And another insane thing? According to one comment in the PiFeedback forum, CBS' next season's programing schedule was leaked and... and... They want to air the NCIS spin-off on Sunday! They want to split NCIS and The Mentalist, the most successful combo they have, and air TM on Thursday at 10pm! They want to air Criminal Minds at 8pm - I don't think that CM with its gruesome murders is an 8pm show. And Numb3rs will only get half a season? Sheesh! I mean, the only positive thing is that it looks like Eleventh Hour will be back. But other than that... I really do hope that this a mistake!

Last night, I watched SG:A's Runner ep. Finally, Ronon's there! Not that I had anything against Ford but he just didn't click with me. That's why I just couldn't get through the first couple of eps for a long time. But with Ronon... Yum! That man is gorgeous, even with the awful dreadlocks! And he has this... presence, I would say. Even if he's not saying anything, you just have to notice him, standing in the background! Also, I love what David Hewlett said about Jason Momoa in the commentary, that it's like having a giant great dane puppy on the set, that Jason is so enthusiastic. I love the commentaries by David and Martin Wood best!

Take a look at the promo for the new USA Network series called In Plain Sight. That looks fantastic! I have to find out when they'll air it!

According to Pittsburgh Tribune, Jensen was just filming in Kittanning. Cute.

Though you know what's weird? When I saw the title - 'My Bloody Valentine' brings Hollywood to Kittanning - I didn't think about Jensen at all, but about the name of the town, Kittanning. Folks on my flist who read the Ukiah Oregon series will probably know why. Ukiah's son/brother/cell chose the name Kittanning. Yes, I'm still a big fan of Ukiah Oregon, how did you guess? ;)

I decided to watch fewer shows when the new season starts.

From the ones that I was watching, I decided to drop Criminal Minds so I'm indifferent to the casting spoiler that's all over the net. The show died for me when they casted Paget Brewster. Her Agent Prentiss left me cold and yawning. I was in for the relationship between Morgan and Reid. But they pushed it so far into the background now... So yeah.

You can already download the pilot of The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Hm, I will take a peek and see if it's any good. Yeah, there goes my decision to watch fewer shows XP

I really don't like that people complain about the filler-arc in Bleach all the time. You don't like it? Then don't watch it! It's as simple as that. Comments like "fucking filler" in the Azureus comment section really show how intelligent you are *annoyed*

You know what my favorite TV shows are this season? Supernatural? Wrong. Numb3rs? Wrong again! It's NCIS and Criminal Minds! Tony and Dr Reid rock my world! *grins stupidly*

Yes, I actually did watch the anime Wedding Peach when RTL2 was showing it. The premise was stupid. The title was stupid. But oh, how I loved Yousuke and Kazuya. Yousuke was a demon who didn't know that he was a demon (the scenes where his heart went thum-thump and he started changing were so awesome) and Kazuya was an angel who was hiding his identity... until he lost his memory and actually forgot that he was an angel :) Me liked it very much! *giggly*

Torchwood rocks my world. I noticed that people didn't like last week's episode much and thought that Jack was rather insensitive. I didn't think so. Finally a captain who didn't shed tears over a lost soul but did what needed to be done without apologizing. That girl killed a man and wanted to kill all of them and he should have spared her? I don't think so. Go, Jack! You are my man! *sparkles*

Brothers & Sisters? So funny!
katikat: (Default)
[livejournal.com profile] castalie pointed me in the direction of Dante's Cove, the here! exclusive TV series/film of gays and magic. Can we say gorgeous guys having sex? I saw it mentioned that the story is dumb and the acting horrible... Well, after watching the clips on the above-mentioned site, I must say it's not that bad. After seeing the Hungarian gay porn movie Vamp, anything is Oscar-worth for me really XD (the guys were gorgeous there though!). Now, I will have to hunt that one down *drools* I mean for once, the bad demon-sorta guy wants the man and the fragile girly! I must have that one!

I love NCIS more and more with every episode. The reason? Tony DiNozzo. He is... ah, gorgeous. And I love that TPTB allow the character to mature, especially this season. And I also love the fact that Gibbs respects Tony and relies on him more and more. What I've loved best so far?

SPOILERS )

And my love for Criminal Minds knows no limits either. Why? Because of Dr Reid. He kind of reminds me of Blair from The Sentinel - highly intelligent, working in a dangerous field but pacifist at heart. I love how Gideon treats him like a son and Morgan like a kid bro. The latest ep showed it best. Highlights?

SPOILERS )

I think I used the word "love" way too much in this entry :D
