Spider-Man: Homecoming: A funny movie. I think it might be my favorite Spidey film yet. But that doesn't say much since he isn't exactly my favorite character. I loved the bits with Peter and Tony Stark, but the lovey-dovey parts bored me to tears. It was so cliché.

Delivery Man: I bought this film on DVD solely for Matt Daddario who played one of David's 500+ kids, the gorgeous gay one. Turns out, the movie's surprisingly sweet and funny. But yeah. Matt Daddario's Channing is my favorite part of the film.

Star Trek: The 2009 version. I'm not as smitten with it as I used to be. It's still funny and there are some truly amazing scenes in it but my infatuation with the movie kind of worn off. The casting remains perfect, though.

Deepwater Horizon: Still one of the best movies that I've ever seen. The mounting tension, especially when you know how it will end, is positively amazing. Yes, I went to see it in the cinema for Dylan O'Brien who played one of the survivors, but it is a really great movie, overall.

Fast & Furious 8: I liked the movie a lot, despite the fact that Paul Walker wasn't in it - ;_; - but this time not because of Dom and his crew, but because of Hobbs and Shaw, the whole Shaw family - Helen Mirren was a hoot! - and Mr Nobody and Little Nobody. I would be actually more interested in a Hobbs & Shaw spin-off than in another FF movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2: I hope that this is not it for Peter's special powers. Because they made him actually interesting - as in interesting on par with Cpt. America or Thor! - and not just a regular guy. I loved the Gamora and Nebula stuff. Raccoon and the "twig" XD And Sylvester Stallone's cameo! I loved that. Definitely better than movie #1.

I know that a lot of people are all up in arms about this movie, but to be brutally honest, I don't give a fuck. It's a good movie. Benedict Cumberbatch is amazing as Stephen Strange, Mads Mikkelsen is seriously hot as the bad guy Kaelicius and the CGI is breathtaking, topping even Inception with its mind-bending psychedelic experience. The soundtrack could've been better, though, nothing really stands out. From me 8/10, I think.

I admit I'm getting slightly fed up with all the superhero franchises these days. It might be becoming a bit too much for me. But this really got my attention, it was so, so cool! Though knowing how the Civil War arc ends in the comic books...

Oh, oh, oh! Loved it. So much humor, but appropriate for the tone of the film, not juvenile like some of the humor in, for example, Iron Man - the Mandarin, anyone? I would rate Ant-Man higher than any of the Iron Man movies, hands down. And also higher than the first Thor. The theater was in stitches during some of the scenes, but it didn't take away anything from the tense action moments.

My favorite parts where Scott's fight with spoilers ) which was incredible, how tight Scott and his buddies were, the reveal of spoilers ) and that Scott's ex and her new man turned out to be really good people.

The whole movie was so "feel good" that I left the theater smiling happily! And I'm interested in how Scott and Hope will fit in with the Avengers now that... a certain Avenger... knows about them!

And then the after-credit scene! That was so, so cool!

This is a really sweet movie but it's not my Marvel favorite, that honor belongs to Captain America: Winter Soldier. I love the characters in this, especially Star-Lord, Rocket and Groot, I'm intrigued by Star-Lord's origins - and I hope that in one of the future movies, he finds his way home and meets his grandfather! - and fascinated by Rocket and Groot's friendship - I would love to know how they met! - but the movie as a whole, though well made, doesn't get my heard pumping with thrill and excitement. There are scenes that make me LOL like a nut - mostly because of Rocket and Groot's antics - but I think overall it lacks the tight action of CA:WS. Best part? Dancing Baby Groot, hands down! \o/

Marvel just announced that they cast Martin Freeman in a secret role in Captain America: Civil War! Source! Kevin Feige said about him...

From his roles as Bilbo Baggins and Doctor Watson to Tim in ‘The Office,’ Martin’s range from the dramatic to the comedic has consistently impressed us. We couldn’t be more honored or excited to have such a talented actor join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Wow, I didn't expect this AT ALL! O.O Wow, just... wow! I'm now looking forward to this movie even more!

Title: Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo

Rating: 8/10

Definitely better than the first movie. It felt more balanced, like everybody had something to do, really important stuff, and there were fewer "empty" scenes.

My favorite part was definitely Vision. Good God, he was amazing! Paul Bettany was stunning in that part. I'm so curious about what's in store for him next! Another thing I really loved was the sense of friendship among these characters, especially between Tony, Steve and Thor, Tony and Bruce, and Natasha and Clint.

And then there were Thor and Steve. There was this deep... intimacy between them, it was very lovely yet strange, like there was a whole story between these two that we’ve somehow missed. The way they joked together, the way Steve took notice of Thor’s actions, the way they worked together, like a perfectly oiled machine - it started in the first film already, when they fought together against the alien army in NY, but here, it was another level completely, their awareness of each other, as if they were telepathically linked, they anticipated each other’s moves to an eerie degree. Slash fodder, folks!

What I didn't like was Quicksilver. Dishrag has more personality, TBH. XMDOFP's Quicksilver was much better. Even in his limited time, he stole every scene with his smart-ass comments. Ultron's was simply... there.

So yes, I was very happy with it!

First we learned that Marvel leased Spiderman back from Sony and that he would probably be in Captain America: Civil War already: link. Then it was announced that Marvel was pushing four of his movies, starting with Thor: Ragnarok, back to make place for a solo Spiderman movie: link (which, of course, got immature fans' panties in a twist). And THEN Patrick Stewart mentioned that he was in talks to join Wolverine 3 as Professor X once more (he also mentioned that Ian McKellen would be in X-Men: Apocalypse but I just can't see them bringing back only Magneto and not Professor X, to be honest): link. What a day!

Benedict Cumberbatch is in negotiations to play Doctor Strange: link! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Like, seriously, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I hated it when it looked like Joaquin Phoenix would play the part because I can't stand the guy, God, just how much I can't stand him you can't even imagine! But now? I was really happy when I heard that Ewan McGregor or Jared Leto were being eyed for the part, but Benedict? BENEDICT? EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

The official synopsis:

Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age Of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Marvel’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision.

Does that mean that JARVIS will come alive? I haven't read any Avengers comic books yet, so I have no idea who Vision is. But I'm all for Paul Bettany kicking major ass. And I also hope that Black Widow and Hawkeye become a couple in this movie. They are my Marvel OTP!

I would give this movie 7/10. It had its good points and lovable characters, but it wasn't all that thrilling, to be honest. I loved the character moments, all the scenes with Peter, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Groot, those were sweet. But any scene that didn't involve them, dragged, to be honest. For a movie that was over 2hr. long, surprisingly little happened in it, the story wasn't dense.

My favorite characters were Groot and Rocket. I wish Nebula got more to do. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but I didn't like Lee Pace as Ronan, he overplayed the part like whoa - similar to Charlize Theron's evil queen in SWatH.

So far, I would rate the Phase 2 Marvel movies as follows: Captain America 2 > Thor 2 > Guardians of the galaxy > Iron Man 3.

♥ Matt Bomer won the Critics’ Choice Television Awards for his part in The Normal Heart! This movie may not be my cuppa - I hate depressing stuff with unhappy endings - but I'm so proud of him!

♥ Rosario Dawson will be in multiple episodes of Netflix and Marvel's Daredevil.

♥ According to Dylan O'Brien, Dreamworks dropped Glimmer :( Bummer, I was really looking forward to this movie.

Star Wars VIII and IX will be written and directed by Looper's Rian Johnson. WOW! That I did not expect.

♥ It looks like Jason Momoa is playing Aquaman in the new Batman vs. Superman movie? If so, I would get actually excited about the film.

Teen Wolf S4 in 2 days!!!

Saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier today and LOVED IT TO PIECES! 10/10! Best Marvel movie yet, even better than The Avengers and definitely the best movie of their Phase 2! GOSH!

Steve! Sam! Natasha! Fury! Bucky! So many feelings! And the action! My favorite action sequences were those involving Winter Soldier, like spoilers! )

And, please, tell me I'm not the only one shipping Steve and Bucky really hard after this movie? Like, seriously hard! I mean spoilers! ) And it was glorious!

Definitely worth seeing in the cinema. I saw it in 3D and loved it!

It looks like Marvel's considering a TV series based on Captain America's Agent Carter: link.

YES, PLEASE! I would honestly prefer a Carter series than SHIELD. I mean, AoS is a Marvel show and I am looking forward to it. But a series about Hayley Atwell's Agent Carter? I would literally bounce! Peggy Carter is my favorite Marvel film heroine. Not that Natasha Romanoff, Maria Hill, Siff or Pepper Potts aren't fantastic - Jane Foster and Darcy... well, they are sweet, I will leave it at that. But there's just something about Carter that makes me incredibly giddy. Loved her so very much.

So, from me, this would get both thumbs up! Please, Marvel, do make the show *_*

The Glades was canceled after 4 seasons: link. I wasn't following it religiously anymore but I was set to get it on DVD once it was over. Not anymore. The season - now series - finale ends on such a terrible cliffhanger - spoilers! ) - that I just can't be bothered. And honestly, pardon my French, but FUCK YOU, A&E! Way to appreciate your viewers. One can say a lot about networks like the CW but they've never canned a long-running show without giving it the time to wrap things up.

♠ Kurt Russell was offered a role in Fast & Furious 7: link. Rumors have it that it's the same part that Denzel Washington turned down. Interesting!

♠ Bradley Cooper will be voicing Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy: link. Apparently, he was the director's, James Gun's, dream casting for the part. Nice!

♠ James Spader was cast as Ultron in The Avengers: Age of Ultron: link. Nice! I have no idea who or what Ultron is so I'm totally unbiased. And looking forward to it even more now!

♠ An interesting report from the Sherlock set, saying that they staged a few "false shots" to throw people off their scent: link. Interesting. But also sad that so called fans make it so hard for the makers of their beloved show to actually film it. Shame on you, gawkers :(
