Fairly Legal was canceled by the USA Network: link. See me shedding no tears. I tried watching it but Kate must have been one of the most obnoxious, childish, arrogant, smug, bitchy characters I've ever seen on TV. I wanted to slap her every time she opened her mouth. I dropped it after one episode and never returned to it. And from what I've heard, she got even WORSE during S2. Wow, I didn't think that was even possible.

Also, Brendan Fraser won't star in Legends after all: link. He and the execs didn't agree on where his character should be headed and so they split amicably. And now my interest in the show dropped to zero again. This show sounds rather derivative so it'll stand or fall with the actor playing the lead. If they don't cast someone I like, I probably won't even give it a try. Eh.

Deadline.com also reports that Burn Notice is nearing a 13 ep long S7 pick-up. I hope they give it a good ending and wrap it up. It was reported in the past that the actor playing the lead wanted out anyway - correct me if I'm wrong - and I don't like shows that keep actors against their will or replace them - see The X-Files.

* First full trailer for Alphas, with an explanation of what each of these characters can do.

* Bruno Heller, the creator of The Mentalist, talks about the shocking season finale ending - spoilers, of course!

* Two episodes of Chaos air this Saturday!! It might be canceled, but there are still unaired episodes and CBS finally decided to show them.

* Fast Five earned $520 mil. worldwide already! Thor $398 mil.!

* Review of Rebecca Dessertine's Supernatural tie-in "One Year Gone". Synopsis: "[The book] focuses on those early few months while Dean was living with Ben and Lisa between seasons 5 and 6, as well as Sam after first getting out of Hell. The book, while not purporting to be canon, is likely as close to canon as we’ll ever see to explain that missing time period." Rebecca worked closely with Kripke on this one.

* New promo for Burn Notice and Suits - naaaah, still not feeling Suits.

Day 03 - Your favorite new show (aired this TV season):

White Collar, of that there's absolutely no doubt! The show is so funny and touching and engaging and the leads have such amazing chemistry! Just watching Tim DeKay and Matt Bomer play off each other is pure pleasure! But what draws me most to this show is Peter's protectiveness - I mean, Peter arrested Neal and put him in prison, that's true, but at the same time he likes Neal so incredibly much! Nothing can piss Peter off more than when someone goes after Neal, he takes it just as personally as if it was Elizabeth and that's just... Man, I can't wait for the show to return!

Which reminds me - WhiCo will be back on Tuesday July 13th at 9pm and according to TVbytheNumbers.com, it will air 9 of its 16 episodes in the summer (Covert Affairs will air all of its 12 eps in one go), the rest in 2011, then. Unfortunately, it'll go head-to-head with Warehouse 13 on USA's sister network, SyFy.

And! Ausiello posted a first look at the Xover promos USA filmed: Peter and Neal are adorable! And Fiona and Michael too! Gus! \o/ Man, I really wish they would allow BN and WhiCo do a Xover ep!

* According to MediaPost, the Q Scores Company, part of Marketing Evaluation, devised the so called Emotional Bonding Q index which "assigns a number to viewers' emotional connection to TV shows." And guess what shows ranked the highest among males 18-49 on all TV? Burn Notice and White Collar!

* BTW, according to TVbytheNumbers.com, Leverage returns on Sunday June 20 with a two-hour season premiere! I hope to be all caught up on the show via DVD by then! (DVD comes out on May 25)

Tonight, I watched the full-length BN pilot. It was better than I remembered. But I'm still missing the... WOW-factor. I'm starting to warm up to Jeffrey Donovan aka Michael Westen but all the other characters felt rather flat or over-played. The pilot basically established that Michael is the sun and everybody else is planets circling around him. I'm sure that they'll get fleshed out in future episodes, of that I have no doubt - but I don't feel the chemistry yet, if you know what I mean. When I compare it to White Collar's pilot - that one I've seen 4 times in one day, I was so floored. It had the WOW-factor from the get-go. I think it'll take me some time to warm up to BN, on the other hand.

But the music, the setting - you know what that reminded me off? Fast&Furious!

And BN vs. WhiCo - Miami or New York? Miami's hot, but NY is sleek! I prefer NY, I think.

Burn Notice fans finally tore down my defenses and invaded my territory - and I succumbed. I ordered S1 on DVD from Amazon UK - it's 60% off there! When I first watched it, I couldn't get into it. But I've been known to fall in love with series when I watch them on original DVDs, I don't know why *shrugs* So here I am, defeated! *prostrates herself*

WhiteCollarUSA over on Twitter posted some funny bits from a phone interview with Jeff Eastin.

My favorite parts: slightly spoilery for the finale and S2... )

I'm in love with the WhiCo writers. They are so friendly and accessible... BTW, they replied to a question of mine about the bakery from 107: Yes, Neal still owns The Greatest Cake - awesome!!! - and he has more money stowed away. I wonder just how rich Neal is. And what would Peter say about it ;)
