The Librarians wasn't bad, darker than usual, that's for sure, but since there were basically no Jake and Cassandra scenes, it was only okay-ish for me. Those two together are the reason why I watch the show, after all.

The promo for the season finale looks fantastic, though: link.

Oh, CBS just renewed Madam Secretary, Scorpion and NCIS: NOLA for S2: link.

And the S2 promo for Penny Dreadful: link.

NCIS 1211 or I can't believe that this show actually managed to shock me O.o! )

NCIS: NOLA 111 or is it just me or is the culprit totally obvious? )

Also, I decided to drop Scorpion and move The Flash to my "watch later on on DVD" list.

On Scorpion, I love the team but the cases are boring, I don't like Paige much and I hate all the attention the show's paying to Ralph and his dad by proxy. And all the unnecessary shipping goes on my nerves: Happy and Toby, Sylvester and Walter's sister, Walter and Paige, Paige and her ex... Why? Just... why?!

And The Flash... I'm not as enamored with the show like many others, it seems. It's a good one but also one better watched in big chunks. Because in big chunks, I can dismiss Barry's unhealthy obsession with Iris but week for week? Sorry, I don't find his infatuation endearing but creepy and annoying. He had ALL HIS FRICKIN' LIFE to tell her he loved her, but no. And now that she has a boyfriend he's starting to make an issue out of it? Stop, just... stop, please.

Also, Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I'll watch it once more eps air, marathon it. In these itty bitty pieces, I just don't enjoy it as much. The same goes for The Mentalist.

So, the only shows I WILL keep on watching "live" are: The Originals, NCIS, NCIS: NOLA, Agent Carter/SHIELD, Forever and The Librarians (only 4 eps to go there). Man, I really cut it down, didn't I? O.o But it will give me the time to watch my DVDs. Right now, I'm watching Smallville S8!

NCIS 1210: Let's... just not. Tim was great but the rest bored me to tears so much I skipped some parts. Mostly, I wanted to punch the guest stars in the face.

NCIS: NOLA 110: Glad to finally find out more about LaSalle.

Scorpion 112: Let's just skip the logic of this show entirely and focus on the cuteness of the team. The last scene was amazing. But please, tone down the shipping! And give as some suspenseful long-term arc!

Forever 101+102: Suspend your disbelief and just enjoy the funny, that would be my advice. Because the show can be downright hilarious - the cops discovering Henry's sex toy collection, thinking it murder instruments? LOL! - and the relationship between Henry and Abe is incredibly sweet.

NCIS 1209: Loved this episode. But then, I love Smart!Tony. And Bishop's spoilers! )

NCIS: NO 109: I didn't care for this episode, especially in the light of current world events. But I did love the bit with Pride's spoiler! )

Scorpion 110: Again, I think you need to totally and completely suspend your disbelief to enjoy this show because the plots make little to no sense. This show is the new A-Team for me AKA just go with it and don't think about it too hard. Also, Europe's forests look nothing, absolutely nothing like California's woods. You can't just point at a group of trees in California and say, "Bosnia!"

The Flash 107: I wish they would tone down the shipping. I really don't care about how Barry always moans about Iris and can't stay away from her as the Flash. Dude, you had years to tell her. She has a boyfriend now. Grow a pair and grow up! It's a cool little show but not as gripping as I thought it would be.

Also, NBC decided NOT to pick up Constantine for a back-nine order, which means S1 will have only 13 episodes. S2 is still possible but the ratings are rather wonky. Yes, they are better than Hannibal's but H has international financing ergo it's cheap for NBC and it's a critical darling. C not so much. Just a heads-up, folks, since I dropped the show.

Scorpion 109: Cabe and Walter, father and son, so much love!

NCIS:LA 608: I'm officially taking a break from the show. The whole annoying thing with Sam's daughter was the last drop.

NCIS 1208: I love Abby's boyfriend and I hope they don't break up. Also, Tony had some really funny one-liners.

NCIS:NOLA 108: I'm really curious about the LaSalle bit. And I love the black disabled hacker, Patton.

Caught up on many shows yesterday, like Elementary 303, Haven 510, Scorpion 108 and The Blacklist 205-208. Nothing really stood out for me, though, at least not in a positive way. But there were many things that irked me.

Like, for example, in Haven: did Duke really just spoilers! ) Or in Scorpion: spoilers! )

But what really took the top was Elementary and the road they took with Kitty and her past. Are you fucking kidding me? Spoilers! ) This made me so very, very angry! I can't help but thinking that the writers have a bucket list of social issues and tick them off, saying, "Okay, we covered drug addiction (S1) and addictions in general (S2). What now? How about spoilers )?" FUCK. IT. I'm already annoyed by this season, by Sherlock's attitude towards Kitty and his colleagues - basically anyone but Joan who has a rainbow shooting outta her ass, apparently! - and if this trend continues, I will drop it. The show's been nothing short of bad this season and the ratings reflect that: the latest episode earned 1.0 demo, that's SPN's ratings! I will give it one more episode but if it annoys me again, I will drop the show, I really don't need to feel this irritated week after week.

Constantine 102+103: Ep 1 was good. Eps 2 and 3? Not so much. Pretty much what Supernatural had done 10 years ago. It exudes a feeling of "been there, done that." And I know that the Constantine comic book predates SPN. It doesn't matter. Everything this show's doing right now, SPN has already done 3 or 4 times on TV. I will continue watching it but I get why the ratings are so very low (1.0 demo last week).

Elementary 301+302: I have a problem with this series that's getting more and more pronounced as it continues: Joan doesn't need Sherlock. She has never needed him in any way or shape or form. I think it all started at the beginning, when he wasn't anything but a client for her, she was paid to be there. She didn't need anything from him. And even now, she doesn't need his friendship, his advice or his company, she made that known loud and clear. There's no give-n-take in their relationship. Joan has become a Watson-Sherlock amalgam and Sherlock's literally not needed anymore because she's now the doctor AND the detective. Sherlock has become redundant. It makes me wonder why they hadn't simply cast Lucy Liu as a Shirley Joan Holmes-Watson outright. Because that's what she is. Also, I feel sorry for Kitty. She's the painful fifth wheel. Sherlock's treating her the same way 10 treated Martha - by endlessly reminding her she's the "lesser" model by shoving the "perfect" model down her throat at every opportunity. No wonder the show's tanking in the ratings this season.

NCIS:LA 606: Another episode in which nothing at all made sense, Callen behaved deranged and OOC and Kensi and Deeks seemed to be on a completely different show. Are the writers even trying these days?

Scorpion 107: I know that many people are put off by Walter's stand-offish attitude but that's exactly why I love him. He isn't aloof to be an asshole, that's simply how his experience molded him. In this episode, you could see spoilers! ) And that's why I like Walter so much!
katikat: (S_Hannibal)
Episode 106, the latest one, was a good one. I loved that the whole time we were led to think that spoilers! )

But what I really want to talk about is 105. My favorite episode yet, hands down. Because it was so personal. It was basically an ode to how much everybody cared about Walter. Especially when they talked to Paige about spoilers! ) This! THIS is why I love the show, because of the team! Also, was I the only one who felt that spoilers! ) I really hope that character comes back and causes more mayhem!

Also, Scorpion together with NCIS:NOLA, Madame Secretary and Stalker got a full season pick-up!
katikat: (F_HanselGretel)
Now THIS is a keeper, hands down! Wonderful characters, kick-ass girls, humor and action... AND it's based on a real story - more or less, of course. I just adore Cabe and Walter and their father-son relationship. You can see just how much Cabe likes Walter. And I love their little misfit family. But who I really adore is Happy Quinn. Gosh, she's AWESOME! I want to be her when I grow up \o/ So yes, definitely a keeper!
