don't be dull, be fannish

I dropped by just to complain about RL a bit. Well, to whine, actually. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow - no biggie, just a regular check-up. But since he's a specialist, it means at least 3 hours of just sitting on my ass in his waiting room. And before that, I need to find a parking space, which is VERY limited around the clinic. And now... because of all the rain? The dirt road to our garage is so soaked that it's all mud and I'm not sure if I'll be even able to get the car out of the garage tomorrow! I had a technician over because of... some other issues... and he actually got stuck on the road and now there are these deep, deep trenches he made with his car! How will I be able to ride over THAT tomorrow? Jesus!

And my other issues, the ones I mentioned? I bought a new computer but I couldn't connect it to my screen. Not with the HDMI, nor with the DVI cable. "No signal." So, I had to call the technician, who dropped by - and got stuck on my road! - and after checking for himself that the computer's really not working right - because, you know, dumb girl here - he took it away and I might get it back sometimes this week. Maybe. Christ on a cracker!

I've been as sick as a dog these past few days. Cold and cough, really ugly stuff. And I still feel under the weather...

That's pretty much how I've been feeling these last few days. It started with dizzy spells and lethargy on Friday, then I developed a hacking cough and a terrible cold on Saturday. I'm slowly getting better... but!

In two days, I'll be attending the Book Fair in Prague, interpreting for Patricia Briggs herself! This Thursday! And then on Friday and Saturday too! And I still sound like a cracked record. So, I have only today and tomorrow to get better since I'll be getting up at 6 am on Thursday to catch my train to Prague. Woe is me, seriously! The one time I go somewhere... *head/desk*

I love the trailers for Arthur Christmas, link 1 & link 2! "Look, a polar bear... in a hat!" LOL! Amazing, James McAvoy as Arthur, Hugh Laurie as Arthur's older brother Steve, Bill Nighy (who played James McAvoy's father in State of Play) as Grandsanta...! It'll be HILARIOUS!

Which reminds me I still have to watch Gnomeo and Juliet, just for James McAvoy voicing Gnomeo! \o/

On the RL front, I dislocated my shoulder this morning - don't ask - luckily, without thinking I popped it back in immediately (having had the very dubious pleasure of dislocating my knee three times, I knew what to do - don't wait, just do it!). Oh God, ouch! Now, my arm's sore from the shoulder down to the elbow - which is still better than the alternative, I guess *grumbles*
