♠ Today, in the park, I saw a group of approximately 20 young people, sitting in a circle on the ground, blindfolded. Just sitting. Eh?

♠ In the same park, I saw an old poster, saying, "I Believe in Sherlock!" Heh.

♠ Apparently, Pacific Rim 2 is not happening after all: link. Personally, I was surprised that there were any plans to continue it at all since it was nowhere near a hit.

♠ Rebecca Ferguson might be the front runner for Captain Marvel: link. Nice. I adored her as Ilsa Faust in Mission: Impossible 5.

♠ And Vinzenz Kiefer is leaving Alarm für Cobra 11. Apparently, they decided to change the tone - AGAIN! - and go back to lighter stuff and fun and his Alex Brandt was way too dark for that. It's too bad. If they had just given him fun stuff to do now that he mellowed. But no *sigh*

♠ I finished translating Patricia Briggs' "Dead Heat", #4 in the "Alpha & Omega" series. And I didn't like it, gave it 2 stars only. She introduced some great guest starring characters, like the cute gay couple (the Mad Scientist & his Cop BF) or the Cantrip agents (Marsden & Leeds). But Anna was suddenly all, "BABIES! BABIES! BABIES! NOWNOWNOW!" as if her brain switched places with her uterus or something and my interest in her as a character dropped from zero into freezing temperatures. Eh.

♠ I started reading manga again. I'm trying to finish two series, "No. 6" by Atsuko Asano and "Korzar der Liebe" by Erii Misono, before I start new stuff.

♠ I bought the first two books in the new "Alien" trilogy, "Out of the Shadows" by Tim Lebbon and "Sea of Sorrows" by John A. Moore.

♠ I plan on going to see Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials this weekend. Already have the tickets reserved.

♠ And I'm still obsessed with Shadowhunters, the Malec ship and Matthew Daddario. Have you seen the MTV article about him, titled "9 Times ‘Shadowhunters’ Star Matthew Daddario Slayed Us With Hotness"? I kid you not. He was so flustered by it, LOL!

Yesterday, I suddenly got this terrible, awful craving to read a BL manga, something new, not old favorites, but something... something I haven't read before! And thus Amazon was browsed and manga was bought. It was... it was like an itch I needed to scratch or go crazy!

So, I bought...

"Black Sun 1" by Uki Ogasawara
"Corsair 1" by Fuuko Minami
"Royal Fiancé" by Risai Asuma
"Sakura Gari 3" by Yuu Watase
"Sleeping Moon 1+2" by Kano Miyamoto

Man! There are so, SO MANY BL manga out there in Germany, it's like the genre exploded! I have so many series unfinished - like Ayano Yamane's "Crimson Spell" - because I missed the books when they came out and now they are sold out! And so many, very many new ones that sound simply fantastic! And they aren't all that expensive, €7 for one book, and Amazon DE also dropped the shipping costs to my country, it's not even €4 now, regardless of how much stuff you order...

I can only reiterate: MAN! I really should take one series and just buy all the available volumes. Like with "ZE" by Yuki Shimizu. Or "After School Nightmare" by Setona Mizushiro! Or even "Card Captor Sakura" by Clamp! "Bleach" by Tite Kubo!!! That's just a tiny part of all the manga series that I don't own in their entirety. That's causing me much anxiety! But... but NEW SERIES! *rolls in the pretty*

What to do? What to DO?!

I wanted to go and see Green Lantern this weekend - alas, the twins can't go, so no GL for me. Oh well, it's not that I was dying to see it *shrugs*

I've been spending my evenings listening to an audiobook, Kevin Hearne's "Hounded", first in the "Iron Druid" urban fantasy series. It's quite hilarious.

I got really miffed at the fandom in general yesterday. All bitching and moaning, hijacking threads and comments to stage petty wars. Seriously, I want to crawl inside some old or obscure fandom and pull the door shut behind me so that I can actually enjoy it in peace without having to stumble across these pissing contests!

I ordered a B-day gift for myself. My B-day isn't till next month but since I had the money and Amazon was giving me the "only so-and-so many in stock, order now!" notifications, I ordered all the remaining volumes in the "xxxHolic" and "Tsubasa Chronicles" series and "Green Lantern: Rebirth".

I wonder what to watch next, Geraldine McEwan's Marple, Idris Elba's Luther S1 or Kenneth Branagh's Wallander. Just something I can enjoy in peace for what it is without needing to pussyfoot around people with "issues".

Is there a site that would list manga, their authors and how many volumes each series has, if it's ongoing or finished? I tried Animenewsnetwork.com, which is great for anime, but when it comes to manga and the stuff I listed above, it's terribly confusing...

I mean, I found out that vol. 28, is the last part of "Tsubasa Chronicle". But how many volumes does "xxxHolic" have? 16? Is Clamp still determined to finish "X/1999"? And what about their new project? As much as I love "Card Captor Sakura", "Kobato" doesn't really appeal to me, based on the summary alone.

* Lost Tribe was the most watched episode of SGA's S5 - 36% more viewers than First Contact! Wow. Not that it helps, the show is still canceled but I think it's nevertheless awesome!

* And I finished reading Ilona Andrews' "Magic Bites". Awesome, just awesome! As I said in my GR review: "Kate Daniels is just my type of a heroine - she's strong, perky and smart, she kicks major butt but she is not obnoxious. I hate angry female heroes who have to prove how awesome they are to every man on principle. Kate isn't like that. She's good and she knows it and she proves her worth by doing her job. Awesome! I would say I like Kate as much as Patricia Briggs' Mercy."

* Oh, and I went on a rampage last night and ordered manga from Amazon.de! I need to catch up on so many series!
"Love Mode 9-11" - done
"xxxHolic 9-11" - caught up
"Finder 2" - hurray for a reprint!
"Pet Shop of Horrors 2-3" - I'm so behind on that one!

* New The Mentalist! New NCIS! Woot! \o/
