A hilarious story about friendship and swimming. I LOL'd so many times, especially when Rei was learning how to swim, the poor thing, sinking like a stone!

My favorite part: the friendship between Haru and Makoto, they have always been there for each other, more so than the rest of the guys. And Makoto in general. He was so incredibly sweet and good-hearted and loyal, both to his friends and to his family. It was wonderful.

My least favorite part: the fact that Rei kept playing the fifth wheel. I felt so sorry for him because, however unintentionally, the guys kept throwing Rin in his face, again and again, making him feel like he could never be enough. Not in the "good enough swimmer" sense, just not enough as a person to replace Rin. I honestly admired Rei for his selflessness.

This anime nicely scratched my anime itch! Gosh, it's been so long since I watched any anime shows. I really need to get back on the horse. I wonder what to sample next... *cracks knuckles*

Watched the first episode of Free!. Basically, it's the new Prince of Tennis just about swimmers? Slashy as hell but completely nutso? Ha! All the characters seemed completely bonkers. Sweet, but bonkers, LOL! I'll have to watch ep to just to find out who won the match, Haru-chan or Rin!

Yuki Sohma, Fruits Basket

I loved his character best because of how conflicted he was. He pretended to be so cold and aloof but then Tohru or someone else did something nice for him and he was totally thrown, you could see just how happy it made him. Also, his relationship with Akito was incredibly fascinating!

Seriously, I keep forgetting about this!

Sousuke Sagara, Full Metal Panic

Sousuke is strong, capable and kick-ass, brave and self-sacrificing. But also a bit... thick, you could say. Having been raised among guerrilla warriors, he has no social grace. Social clues have no meaning to him - much to Kaname's furious exasperation. His paranoia - in many cases justified! - drives Kaname up the wall which leads to many hilarious situations.

I just finished watching the anime Full Metal Panic and I still think that Sousuke and Kaname are one of the best anime couples out there. He is highly intelligent and an excellent soldier but a little dumb where the human relationships are concerned. She is strong and gifted with a strange power that makes her a "Whispered" but rather choleric and short tempered too. When these two get together, sparks fly. Literally. Man, I love anime girls like Chidori Kaname! :)

I've watched Fumoffu and The Second Raid first, even though they are the sequels to FMP and when you compare these three, they are completely different. FMP is a strange mix of happy, goofy and sad, full of action but laughter too. Fumoffu is... well, silliness pure! *grins* And TSR is so incredibly sad.

But I think I liked TSR best. In it we see what Kaname is willing and able to do to survive, how much she has learned from Sousuke. And Sousuke... well, thinking Kaname has died, he breaks down, finally being just a teenager who has already seen more than any human being should. Some people didn't like this sequel, but I thought it was a fitting ending because it gave us a real conclusion - not to their relationship but to the development of their characters.

All in all, I love this anime, all its three parts, and I would recommend it to every mecha-lover out there :)

I finished watching Jyu Oh Sei... and I cried like a baby, really. This was a very good anime, but it left me with this deep sad feeling in the chest. SPOILERS ) So, even if that was one of the best anime this season, I don't think I will re-watch it any time soon since I don't like to wallow in depression.

And if that wasn't enough, I then watched the "The Wind That Blows at Home" arc in the Full Metal Panic anime. And my mood became even bleaker. This anime is usually very funny and stuff, but this arc... SPOILERS ) So, yeah...

This really wasn't a happy evening on the anime front :(

I finished watching Fate/Stay Night and unfortunately, it ended as I suspected it might but hoped it wouldn't. Don't get me wrong, the ending fit the series perfectly, but my little romantic heart hoped for something else. It made me cry buckets, really :(

It was a good series. Not the best one, but good and worth watching. The Servants were truly interesting; especially Archer. And most of the girls had got spunk, which is always good. A worthy anime :)

I finally finished watching Samurai Champloo! Wow, the ending was... wow. I loved the scene between Mugen and Jin --> Jin: "Take care of Fuu."; Mugen: "You better not get killed." *squee* That one made my heart melt. I could so see a Fuu/Mugen/Jin threesome. And how Jin admitted that he considered the two of them friends :D And Mugen's "I don't feel like killing you." attitude! Excellent! *bounces*

Caught up on GunXSword. This is a weird one but it's finally starting to make sense to me. Although I don't understand the attitude of the Original pilots. And poor poor Wendy. But most of all, I love the blond brothers! The younger one is still all baby-fat, but the older one is so cool! Kinda nutty in the head and rather maniacal but cool :D I hope that Shinsen will sub more eps soon.

I downloaded and watched the first episode of Fate/stay Night. Wow, the first episode and we already had a mass murder and an explosion. And it's wonderfuly drawn, just the way I like it. This one looks rather interesting. Magic in the present times, fighting, little evil girls *eg* Cool! :)

I decided to download Suzuka. I tried one episode and it looks rather interesting in the "slice-of-life" kinda way. No fighting or action whatsoever but it caught my attention.

Karin is also getting better and better. It's still funny, but I can feel the deeper, sad undertones there too. Anju's relationship with her sister is simply touching. And their older bro is so protective of them, even though he grumbles all the time. I love it!

And I finally caught up on all the eps of Prince of Tennis I had at home. Ep 75 was the last one I had. As a devoted Tezuka fan, I could only cry, really (please, tell me that he will come back soon *hopeful eyes*). But Tezuka is a great captain and I love the relationship he has with Oishi. I think I like the two together better than Oishi and Eiji. Don't know why. I mean, when Tezuka got hurt, Oishi crying out "TEZUKA!!!"... that just got me, really. And I'm already getting withdrawal sings. This anime just gets under your skin like no other.

I'm slowly catching up on all the anime I watch. Unfortunately, I have to study for my state exam that I have in three weeks. But I just can't concentrate on it. I feel all jittery and full of nervous energy. And if that wouldn't be enough, I'm translating Fiona McIntosh's "Myrren's Gift" at the mo. Folks who read that book can tell you that it's not one that could put you in a good mood. It's a tear-jerker all the way. So, I decided to stop translating it until I finish studying what I need for the exam. It's just too distracting :(

Off to watch more anime!

So, to TV: Numb3rs: I really really liked this episode. Although it did feel a bit like they were trying to get EVERYBODY to interact with Charlie and not just Don and Megan. Sometimes, I didn't understand, why it wasn't Don who came to Charlie with a problem. Why did he send David or Colby when it's his brother? O.o But except for that, I really liked it. But the actress playing the singer was awfully thin *shudders* Just skin and bones and no breasts at all. Na phui!

Supernatural: I'm starting to warm up to Sam. Dean will probably stay my favorite guy in this show, but I'm starting to like Sam too. Gosh, the scene in the airport *g* Dean's "Maaaaaaaan" whining was simply hilarious. This show is getting better and better with each episode!

Bones: No Bones this week? *sniffle* Give me back my Bones. I actually really like the show. I can't say why but I do. The scene with Booth and Bones in the bar where Seeley fought for "his" space *g* So cute. I love the fact that he isn't head over heals for her. She likes him a lot, but he likes her as a really good friend. Me likes! :D

Gilmore Girls: Luke and Lorelai! These two are simply hilarious. But so in love at the same time. And I like how Rory's life is kinda very similar to Lorelai's. Which dress will go better with the baby! :D As I said, hilarious!

Black Cat: Hm, I expected it to be a bit better. But it's the first episode after all so we will have to wait. I didn't read the manga though I do have the first volume scanlated somewhere. The art style reminds me a lot of Enzai, especially the main hero's eyes. Maybe that's what making it a bit difficult for me to watch?

Full Metal Panic: TSR: I still like it. It makes me a bit sad because of what Kaname and Sousuke have to go through, but I understand why it was important for the plot. Sousuke couldn't just jump from being a soldier to being a student and a boyfriend. Something must have happened to change him so completely. And this is actually really believable. So me, still likies! :D

Fumoffu!

Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu is HILARIOUS! Especially the first couple of eps and the last one. My favorite part? The episode where Kaname and Sousuke rush to Sousuke's apartment to retrieve Kana-chan's notes only to find out upon their return to school that their class has been canceled :D HILARIOUS! :D

Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] moonraven_croft! *snuggles*

I have been watching the first episodes of Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid and wow! It looks really great. Finally a female hero that doesn't cry and isn't all helpless. She kicks ass, unfortunately mostly the main male hero's. Poor boy, he is cute and nice but a bit dense :P Now I will just have to find the first season. Grr, the download rate is stuck at 0kBs! :/

Tsukuyomi ~ Moon Phase - oh my gosh, this series is getting better and better. Kouhei is learning how to use his powers and Hazuki is all worried. They are such a sweet couple! (yeah, it's het ;)) And now the vampires caught up with them. Poor Kouhei. Why do all the vampire girls love to suck his blood so much? Hehe, they are always so disappointed when they realize that it's impossible to turn him into a brainless servant. Go, Kouhei! Go! I can't wait for the next episode. Such an awful cliffhanger!

And I'm writing another Gorgeous Carat story. I have the first two scenes done and it's almost 2000 words again. Wow. I have never written such long one-shots before. GC has a really intriguing story. And there are so many possibilities for h/c since Floréan is hurting so nicely :D

Off to watch some more anime. My hdd is at 1,5GB out of 40! I need to do some cleaning!
