Anime, anime
Jan. 10th, 2006 09:49 pmI finally finished watching Samurai Champloo! Wow, the ending was... wow. I loved the scene between Mugen and Jin --> Jin: "Take care of Fuu."; Mugen: "You better not get killed." *squee* That one made my heart melt. I could so see a Fuu/Mugen/Jin threesome. And how Jin admitted that he considered the two of them friends :D And Mugen's "I don't feel like killing you." attitude! Excellent! *bounces*
Caught up on GunXSword. This is a weird one but it's finally starting to make sense to me. Although I don't understand the attitude of the Original pilots. And poor poor Wendy. But most of all, I love the blond brothers! The younger one is still all baby-fat, but the older one is so cool! Kinda nutty in the head and rather maniacal but cool :D I hope that Shinsen will sub more eps soon.
I downloaded and watched the first episode of Fate/stay Night. Wow, the first episode and we already had a mass murder and an explosion. And it's wonderfuly drawn, just the way I like it. This one looks rather interesting. Magic in the present times, fighting, little evil girls *eg* Cool! :)
I decided to download Suzuka. I tried one episode and it looks rather interesting in the "slice-of-life" kinda way. No fighting or action whatsoever but it caught my attention.
Karin is also getting better and better. It's still funny, but I can feel the deeper, sad undertones there too. Anju's relationship with her sister is simply touching. And their older bro is so protective of them, even though he grumbles all the time. I love it!
And I finally caught up on all the eps of Prince of Tennis I had at home. Ep 75 was the last one I had. As a devoted Tezuka fan, I could only cry, really (please, tell me that he will come back soon *hopeful eyes*). But Tezuka is a great captain and I love the relationship he has with Oishi. I think I like the two together better than Oishi and Eiji. Don't know why. I mean, when Tezuka got hurt, Oishi crying out "TEZUKA!!!"... that just got me, really. And I'm already getting withdrawal sings. This anime just gets under your skin like no other.
I'm slowly catching up on all the anime I watch. Unfortunately, I have to study for my state exam that I have in three weeks. But I just can't concentrate on it. I feel all jittery and full of nervous energy. And if that wouldn't be enough, I'm translating Fiona McIntosh's "Myrren's Gift" at the mo. Folks who read that book can tell you that it's not one that could put you in a good mood. It's a tear-jerker all the way. So, I decided to stop translating it until I finish studying what I need for the exam. It's just too distracting :(
Off to watch more anime!

Date: 2006-01-10 09:15 pm (UTC)There hasn't been any Gun x Sword for a couple weeks. Maybe once school starts up again, we'll see more. I think a lot of fansubbers are students. I like the series, but it's not my favorite.
I sent you the rest of PoT (subbed only). You should be getting it soon. ^_^ I can see why people like Tezuka and Oishi, but I like GP and TezuFuji too much (although Fuji and Taka is also nice). PoT has so many possibilities. ^_^
Good luck studying, hon! *snuggles*

Date: 2006-01-10 09:53 pm (UTC)And thank you so much for PoT. From the beginning, my favorite guy was Tezuka. So, I'm a bit biased here. And for me, there is this "something" between Oishi and Tezuka, this deep, almost gentle feeling. I can't describe it any better. It's as if they have been lovers in the past and even though it ended, they have no regrets and their friendship is even stronger for that.
And could you tell me if Tezuka returns from Germany? Without him, it's... a bit empty like if there is something missing, an important piece that you didn't know was important until it was gone. I think that's how the members of his team must feel like :(

Date: 2006-01-10 10:02 pm (UTC)I can see past Tezuka/Oishi, but I can't imagine them being together long term. It's like Atobe and Shishido for me. I just can't see it lasting.
There are several pairings that are pretty popular that I can see where people get them from, but they just don't do it for me. Tezuka/Atobe, for example.

Date: 2006-01-12 08:31 pm (UTC)^_^ You are spot on about Tezuka. I heard him described as 'a piece of toast'... but they are so wrong. He is fantabulous! That's why he's the only one who could take them to the nationals!
He does make one or two appearances...and they will go see him in Germany. ^__^ And the episodes in between are quite cute. Hang in there. *hugs*
Hee hee... yeah, I like Tezuka with Fuji. There is just something indescribable about the way they just...are together. That quiet acceptance... *sighs* But Oishi is cute with Tezuka too. ^_^

Date: 2006-01-13 05:08 pm (UTC)*pets Oishi* He is a really nice guy. But one of my favorite Oishi moment is when he loses it. ^^; Smexy. ^__^
*squeals* But Tezuka IS almighty! *snuggles* You'll see. *Giggles hysterically*
*glomps*
