Michiru, Sailor Moon

Beautiful, sweet, gentle, caring, brave, strong, smart, talented, amazing. Michiru has always been my favorite SM heroine. The fact that she's a lesbian and her relationship with Haruka makes me swoon just thinking of it also helps. Gosh, gosh, gosh... I really need to get my hands on the manga that has been reprinted lately and maybe even check out the new SM anime that should come out soon. Oh, Michiru... Love her so much :)

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters is a nutty adventure. Don't expect Shakespeare from it and you won't be disappointed. I wasn't. I went to see it because of Hansel and Gretel's relationship and I loved it. Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton had fantastic chemistry. And I loved that for them, everything was first and foremost about them, their dalliances and friendships with other people were secondary to their relationship. And that was lovely...

Bits and pieces I loved most! )

There were so many things I would like to see explored in fanfiction. Or in a sequel, possibly. The movie already tripled its $50 mil. budget worldwide - it's at $181 mil. right now - and it has a good chance to quadruple its budget before it runs its course.

I would give it 6/10 but it was totally worth seeing in the cinema!

"Viewfinder 6" by Ayano Yamane

Rating: ♣ ♣ ♣

This manga contains two loosely connected stories. One features Akihito and Asami, the other Hiyama and Mizuno.

To the main story, Akihito and Asami's, I would give 4 stars. I know that some people don't like this manga because they consider Asami too forceful and manipulative, taking Akihito against his will. I agree that Asami is forceful and manipulative. At the same time, I think he gives Akihito exactly what he wants. And this story proves it. In it, Akihito had the chance to rid himself of Asami and live a free life - yet he went back to Asami. Of his own volition. Because he craved Asami's attention, which he actually admitted, at least to himself.

To the second story, I would give only 2 stars because it was all talk and talk and talk and very little actually happend. The most interesting part was, once again, the bit with Akihito and Asami. The rest was quite boring.

You know, I'm seriously sick and tired of defending my affection for these movies. I'm no stan but neither am I a hater. I like the movies exactly for what they are. And if you don't, then jolly good for you, but don't piss into my cheerios because of that! Yes, I like Twilight. Yes, I like Transformers. And yes, damn it, I consider The Hobbit the best movie of 2012. You don't? Fine. Just stop trying to undermine my enjoyment of these things! GOD FRICKIN' DAMMIT! *deep breath*

I'm glad that they fired Catherine Hardwicke and replaced her with Chris Weitz as the director. Her directing was terrible. Weitz did a much, much better job. Especially with the fight between Edward and the Volturi, that was so well done! And the music... wow, the music was amazing. It's obvious that they put much more money into this one.

Bella has never been the most stable egg in the basket but to have first one guy you count on and the other dismiss you and try to direct your life? No wonder she went totally off the rails. Sheesh. And the way neither Edward, nor Jacob seem to respect her wishes? I mean, when Bella starts to sound like the only reasonable person in the room, you obviously have a problem!

I just love the world Meyer created so much. The Volturi, a family like the Cullens, Native Americans and their legends, werewolves...

“Is this supposed to scare me?” he said loudly. “I’m dead! My house is spookier than this!”
