Sherlock S3 starts filming on Monday, March 18!

Sue [Vertue] also kindly confirmed a second piece of information relating to filming on the new series. Long planned scheduling around the availability of both Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman means that principal photography on Sherlock Series Three will be done in two sections, with two episodes being filmed from March 18. A break will occur in the early summer, and then the third and final episode will be shot a few weeks later.

Sue commented: "We could never have fitted all three films into one long go because of everyone's availability. It's being flexible like this which allows us to keep making them."

Takamichi, Harukanaru Toki no Naka de

Gorgeous, smart and kind, great in his office just like with a knife - yet easily flustered which makes him the perfect target for his best friend's, general Tomomasa's, jokes. What a wonderful character. And I still think that he and Tomomasa weren't just "friends". I mean, I know that HaruToki was based on a dating game but both Tomomasa and Takamichi were way, way too old for the main heroine.

"The Good, the Bad, and the Uncanny (Nightside #10)" by Simon R. Green

Between the elves, the Excalibur, Walker and the Oblivion brothers, the book was just too splintered, there was no main storyline, it just hopped from one thing to another. It felt like a set-up for something bigger, not really a standalone book, rather like an anthology of self-contained, loosely connected stories. Definitely not my favorite installment, though the last scene got me really interested in what's coming up next.

"Sir Gawain and the Green Knight" by Unknown

My linked review is in Czech because I praised the wonderful Czech translation. But here I have to ask - is it just me or is this story incredibly slashy? I mean, the knight asks Gawain to give him exactly what Gawain receives during the knight's absence at the castle in exchange for everything the party catches in the woods during their hunt - and Gawain is kissed by the knight's wife. And so Gawain kisses the knight. One kiss on the first day, two kisses on the second day and three on the third day, gentle, lingering kisses, not some pecks on the cheek. I mean, what? Is it just me and my slashy goggles?
