I'm not wow'd by the series so far but I'll continue watching. I like the characters, all of them actually, and I'm curious about where it's headed. Would you believe that there are fics already? The John/Dorian pairing's going strong. But I also like Minka Kelly's, Det. Stahl. I wouldn't mind if she and John became a couple, to be honest. I love how tongue-tied he is around her. And I love the way she's looking at him, it's lovely.
I'm actually disappointed by the twist with Mycroft. I really hoped his desire to mend fences with Sherlock was genuine. But no, he has a hidden agenda. And Sherlock will, of course, find out the truth and be pissed and disappointed and the rift between them will become greater than ever. I don't like it.
Nick's mother is kick-ass but I hope she leaves soon. She's disturbing the balance - I felt the same way about John Winchester and later on about Bobby on SPN. I prefer it when the characters have to deal with problems themselves, when they don't have a parent handy who saves their butt whenever needed.
Once William revealed that he and "Audrey" were in love, I suspected that it was them behind the Troubles, that they caused them, just for fun. The question now is, if they are aliens or some supernatural beings. I'm not sure what I would prefer.
The funny thing? Because of the Troubles, Duke and Nathan are friends. How weird is that? In the alternate reality, where there were no Troubles, they didn't even know each other properly. So, yeah, the Troubles are awful, but thanks to them, these two gained something irreplaceable.
I wonder what the show will be about once they catch Red John. Will they focus on destroying te secret organization? On trying to find out who's heading it? Also, I bet that there will be a really big twist with who Red John actually is.
