Day 6: A scene that had you laughing so hard you had to pause

Well, pretty much every scene that John and Rodney had together. Their bickering was priceless and what I loved was that John was intelligent enough to keep up with Rodney's ramblings which frustrated Rodney to no end - a smart military man, imagine that!

McKAY: We’re gonna stick to chess from now on.
SHEPPARD (making a move on the board): As long as Rodney doesn’t cheat.
McKAY: Oh, please, like I need to cheat playing you?
WEIR: OK, I’ll leave you to it, then.
(She walks away. Rodney makes a move on the board.)
McKAY: Ha!
(John makes a move and takes one of Rodney’s pieces.)
SHEPPARD: Ha. Checkmate.
McKAY: What?!
(He looks at the board. John shrugs.)
McKAY: Oh, no-no-no-no-no. What happened there?
SHEPPARD: What happened there is I just kicked your ass.
McKAY: No, no, I was distracted. She was, uh ... OK, we’re going again. Best of ten.

And another one, this one with John, Rodney, Ronon and Teyla... )

Both scenes from The Game - man, they really enjoyed pulling Rodney's leg!

I also loved what Jim Beaver posted in his Twitter. Someone asked him: "You saying this [that they are outstanding] about all scripts this season - why they all looks so bad in the end???" His response: "Why does SPN look so bad? Because your eyes are closed to anything but your expectations and prejudgment? It's a thought." Link. Bravo, Mr. Beaver *applauds*

When asked how they maintain their wonderful on-screen chemistry and their off-screen friendship, Bomer deadpans, "Couples therapy. It's worth it. We meet our deductible pretty quickly and from then on out, it's just a co-pay."

"'Cause we're both in the union, so that's good," DeKay continues the gag.

"But really, Tim is such a generous person and he brings a real sense of play to the work," says Bomer. "I know he lifts me up on my off days."

"Oh, you lift me up on my off days," agrees DeKay. "We have a blast together. In the end, we respect each other, as far as the work is concerned. It's just like any other relationship. If you don't have that, there's no ground to it." Link

Aww... Seriously, aww! They're so incredibly cute I just want to cuddle them silly. Beware though, the rest of the article linked is SPOILERY!

Oh, dear USA, now you just HAVE to pick it up and turn it into a proper show!

Amy Acker (...) has landed the only female regular role opposite stars Michael Ealy and Warren Kole in the USA Network's buddy cop dramedy pilot Common Law.

(...)

Common Law centers on polar opposite LAPD homicide detectives Wes Mitchell (Kole) and Travis Marks (Ealy) whose constant bickering prompts their captain to send them to couples counseling. Acker will play their therapist. Link.

Please, USA, please! Pick it up! Pleeeeeaaaaaaase! *crosses both fingers and toes*

The Squire of Gothos: "Stop that nonsense at once or you'll not be permitted to make any more planets." LOL! That basically sums up the episode. But it was really interesting - the squire reminded me of Q. I love it when the crew goes and explores and meets strange new cultures. That's what's sci-fi is about for me.

Arena: The beginning was excellent. But then it went downhill. I thought that Kirk's relentless pursuit of the enemy ship was rather OOC - remember the fight with the Romulans? How he held back and, you know, THOUGHT IT THROUGH first? But here he was so completely gung-ho that he didn't even try to hail the ship. And then, on the planet - honestly, that green lizard was ridiculous and the fight between them really, really lame. I mean, I'm used to some things in this show looking... weird, I get it and I don't mind, but that was really over the top lame. And what's up with Kirk having a physical fight in every episode now?
