These last few weeks, I watched some TV shows, too, not just movies. Like NCIS:LA S2 (for Densi) and Covert Affairs S1 (for Auggie Anderson) on DVD, and then Stitchers S1 downloaded (for Camsten). I also started watching Elementary S1 on Netflix, just to have something where I don't care about the fandom or shipping or anything like that at all and that I can fall back on when my current fandom - Shadowhunters - pisses me off, which it's been doing more and more lately.

And now I'm watching Doctor Who S10. Apparently, the new Doctor should be announced today. I'm already dreading it because whoever it'll be, I bet a shit storm of hate will follow because that's how the net's rolling these days. Me? Cynical? Why do you think?

And I'm now all caught up. Tonight airs the penultimate episode and the season finale next week, then. Luckily, the show was renewed for S2. I mean, I'm not obsessed with it but it's sweet enough, especially the characters of Kirsten, Cameron, Camille and Linus, the way they bicker and banter and fit together... it's simply sweet. I love that Kirsten is basically BBC's Sherlock: an emotionally disconnected no filter genius. And I like how her new friends are slowly pulling her out of her shell, even though they will never manage it entirely because of her condition, but she's adapting. And I love how much Cameron cares about her despite her condition - and how much she's learning to care about him. It's wonderful...

If you like faux science procedurals, give it a try, it's quite funny :)

Stitchers: I'm really curious about Cameron's ( spoilers! ), I wonder if it will be important in future eps. I hope so.

Dark Matter: I'm slowly losing interest. It's becoming kinda boring. The only thing that's keeping me going is One and what his role is on that ship.

Killjoys: STILL LOVING IT! \o/ My favorite character is Johnny, of course, I have a huge weakness for Aaron Ashmore. And I love both Dutch & Johnny's relationship - Alpha!Girl & Beta!Boy - and D'Avin & Johnny's relationship - protective Big!Brother & Little!Brother. Gimme more! I hope we get some Johnny-in-peril situations this season because Dutch and D'Avin obviously have a lot of issues/enemies and he's the only one who can be used against both.

It's too bad that all these shows have bottom feeder ratings - .4 for Stitchers and .2 for both Dark Matter and Killjoys :( Well, hopefully, we will at least get a good one season out of them. But if I should choose just one to keep for another season, it would be Killjoys because that one's pushing all my buttons.

Current Mood: calm

Not bad. It's a sci-fi procedural with exactly the kind of male-female dynamic I love: Kirsten is cold and aloof, Cameron is the goofy puppy - he even got called "the girlfriend", LOL. And it stars Salli Richardson-Whitfield of the Eureka fame and Allison Scagliotti from Warehouse 13. But all in all, I just really like Kirsten and Cameron and their shenanigans.

The show has only passable ratings. Maybe even a bit lower - it airs on ABC Family and it's drawing around .4 demo which is rather little, even for a cable show - so I don't expect it to live longer than one season. Still, it's fun.
