Cleaning up my HDD and listening to all the podfics I downloaded in the past...

"All The Trappings Of Love" by rageprufrock, read by dodificus | Clark/Lex | AU | There's days when you just know you shouldn't have gotten up. | 23mins.

Lex is in Hong Kong.

Which is good. Because Lex can't fly, so he can't just pop over and kill me.

Which he would do. I mean, yeah, sure, he loves me more than anything and we have papers and wear rings and the whole shebang, but Lex would kill me.

Clark/Lex is my OTP in this fandom and my love for this pairing does not know any bounds. And this fic is so sweet and funny!

"Conflicts of Interest" by pru, read by soukuyah | AU | Clark/Lex hints | In which Clark is a not-so-mild-mannered reporter, Lex is a biological fugitive, and someone is mold. | 5hr. 25min.

"This is the worst day ever," Conner moaned, putting his head down on the lab counter. "We lied to nuns and my mom's Clark Kent. We're going to hell."

One of my most favorite SV fics ever. It's just too bad that a) the podfic is awfully cut - some parts end mid-word - and b) the author keeps reading "asked" as "axed" and it's incredibly annoying. It really is too bad because other than that, she reads really well and there are no background noises or anything.

I know that I rec'd this one already some time ago, but I think it needs rec'ing again. It's my "I feel blue and I need something to pick me up" podfic.

"Interstitial" by punk, read by cath | Clark/Lex | AU | He doesn't know why this is happening. | 2hr. 51min.

"Is it true you made this taller than your father's building without telling him?" Clark asks.

Lex looks blank for a second, but then one corner of his mouth quirks up, half of a proposed smile. "What do you think?"

"I think that sounds exactly like something you'd do."

Lex rewards him with the rest of the smile. "Doesn't it?"

What a wonderful story. There's hardly any angst, just Clark and Lex being warm and happy and beautiful together.

"Interstitial" by punk, read by cath | Clark/Lex | Future!fic, AU | He doesn't know why this is happening. | 27.000 words/2hrs 51mins

"Oh, Clark." Lex sounds tired, almost as if this were his weakness too. "How long has this been going on?"

Clark shrugs, picks at the edge of the counter where the formica's warped. "I don't know. I just noticed it yesterday. Or I mean, I've known something was wrong for a while, but yesterday was the first time..." He looks up. "I got a papercut."

"A papercut?" Lex looks like he just found a frog in his pocket. "Clark, you also crashed your car, got a concussion and sprained your wrist. And the papercut's the part you remember?"

Clark grins at the floor. "I uh, think the papercut surprised me more."

This is one of my most favorite SV stories. How did I not know that it'd been turned into a podfic? *hangs head in shame*

You know, whenever I feel down, I listen to the SV podfic "Reconcilable Differences", written by astolat and read by fayjay. It always puts a smile on my face. I mean, with quotes like...

Lex turned slowly and stared at Clark. Clark looked over his shoulder. Bits of sheetrock and thin layers of lead and wiring were scattered all over the floor, around the series of holes Clark had just drilled through the apartment. "Um," Clark said. "Sorry?"

"Brainiac did less damage, and he was trying," Lex said.

Or...

He called Tim on the bus home. "I am never going to have a normal relationship in my entire life," he said morbidly, leaning against the window, ignoring that it whacked his head every time the bus went over a pothole. "My doom is written in my genes."

"If you start telling me anything about what Lex and Clark have been doing, I'm hanging up," Tim said.

"They haven't been doing anything; Clark's, like, disappeared," Kon said. "But I'm trying to tell you, their issues go way beyond just macking on each other."

This fic is like a warm, fuzzy blanket, astolat's humor, fayjay's amazing voice - I even love the song she chose for the ending, K. T. Tunstall's "Miniature Disasters", it fits the story perfectly! It makes me bounce with the happy! \o/

"iHero" by Bernice, read by Twilight. Clark/Lex. Lex gets everything he ever wanted, not that he'd ever admit he wanted what he gets. 81.000 words/9hrs. 28mins.

Mercy had not reacted to Clark at all, there was not an eye lash flicker of disquiet that the man she'd tried for years to bring down on her boss's orders was now her boss's lover. Lex loved her even more for that unbreakable professionalism. Clark was now, whether he wanted it or needed it, under her protection as well. Unless he hurt Lex, in which case Lex knew that she wouldn't rest until Clark was in a thousand tiny pieces. Lex loved her for that, too.

This fic made me LOL in so many places - like when Lex compared Wonder Woman to a baboon because of her g-string costume, ha! - but it also hurt, when they had to overcome so many obstacles. I did love though, that they handled their problems in a very mature way - they actually talked.

Listening over and over and over again to the Smallville podfic "Reconcilable Differences", written by astolat and read by fayjay. Over and over again. This fic owns me. I mean, with exchanges like...

"But I'm trying to tell you, their issues go way beyond just macking on each other."

... what's there not to love? Man, this fic is cute and lovable and smooshy and... I'm seriously giddy here, folks.

"Moving On" by astolat, read by twilight_angel. Clex. Summary: What you do when there are no more worlds to conquer. (AKA: Lex conquers the galaxy, in STYLE.) Length: 18.000 words/2hrs. 19mins.

He woke up a couple of hours later in the dark, instinct rousing him. The main room was empty, and the other bed hadn't been slept in: the curtains were blowing in the window from the open balcony doors. John frowned and padded out onto the balcony. Nobody could have taken Clark without enough of a fight to wake him, so John wasn't worried, exactly, he just had a hell of a bad gut feeling—and then he spotted Clark, hovering in mid-air, just above the big jutting terrace six or seven windows down, near the center of the palace building.

Luthor stepped out onto the terrace and looked up. Clark landed, apparently so the two of them could stare at each other without saying anything. Finally Luthor said, "Are you coming in?"

Clark stood for another moment, and then he said, so quietly John could barely hear it, "Yes."

They went inside. A minute later, the lights went out.

John stared. What the fuck.

Man, I love this fic! Lex is so... Lex. And Clark's just so smitten with him. And the way Twilight reads it is just awesome!

"Vacation" by astolat, read by twilight_angel. Sequel to "Reconcilable Differences" (linked). Clex, Tim/Kon. Summary: He was hung up on his best friend, who wasn't just oblivious and totally uninterested but also a complete player. The gay thing, fine—he could handle that. It was the pathetic thing that was unbearable. Length: 4.400 words/32mins.

He'd been on the other end of Lex's full attention a few times himself. The only person who didn't wilt under it at least a little was Clark; he just seemed to soak it up and want more. Tim figured that was why they were both so weird about each other.

Man, I have it bad for future!Clex fics with a side dish of other DC characters! \o/

"Reconcilable Differences" by astolat, read by fayjay. Clark/Lex. Summary: Luthor Family Values. Length: 40.000 words/4hrs 10mins.

Kon jerked around in the chair halfway down the hall and stared at Tim. "Did—were they just—?"

"I'm trying not to think about it!" Tim said. "I've had enough shocks today."

"Oh my god," Kon said, numbly, sitting back in the chair. "They were exes."

Hilarious and touching and all-around awesome in the way that only astolat and fayjay can be! I love SV future!fics where Clark and Lex get over their problems and fall for each other hard. And this fic pushes all my buttons!
