Just watched episode 1 of Un-Go and it was actually really good. Surprised me how good it was. A detective story with just the right amount of scary. The characters are all quite interesting and I'm so curious about the accident at the very beginning, what that was about.

Who's really creepy, that's Inga...

Always pawing at Yuuki, hanging off him like a limpet. I can't decide which of her forms is creepier though, the mad little kid with fake paws or the voluptuous seductress. She's kinda very possessive of Yuuki. I wonder what's that about...

I think I'll have to follow this one.

Yesy decided to keep subbing Utawarerumono. Just today, they have released two new eps!*is so happy that she sparkles* That's fantastic news. This anime is excellent and it's just way too sad that nobody on my flist is watching it :(

They have really done it! They have licensed my Utawarerumono anime! *cries* And they gave it such a stupid name too: Shadow Warrior Chronicles! Gah! I really hope that someone will keep subbing it because it's a truly amazing anime... Well, Static-Subs continued subbing Mai HiME even though it was licensed so there is still hope... *bites fingernails*

Do you remember me talking about ordering Gorgeous Carat Galaxy? Well, I waited and waited for it to be shipped to me but nothing was happening. So, I canceled the item and ordered it again and now it's in the "shipping soon" phase :D See? A kick in the butt is enough sometimes.

But for this manga not to feel lonely during its journey across the ocean, I had to order another one: "Incubus" by Yayoi Neko. It might not be a real Japanese manga but wow, the premise is rather cool! But as a friend of mine asked me: What would you call an incubus that's after men and not women? *scratches her head*

I'm still reading and very much enjoying "Guilty Pleasures" by Laurell K. Hamilton, the first book in her Anita Blake Series. That's a heroine I like! Anita is spunky and has guts *nods*

And I can say only WOW to Utawarerumono. I'm not even sure why I enjoy this anime so much, but I do. It has a great story, amazing characters and it's simply catching, you know? It grabs the unsuspecting and won't let go :)

I've been watching the Utawarerumono anime and after having seen 6 episodes, I can say that it's a quite interesting one.

It's a story of a man who is found in the woods, hurt very badly and wearing a mask on his face that won't come off. He lost his memories and so, the village elder/healer gives him the name of her dead son, Hakuoro. From that moment, the healer's granddaughters regard him as a father. Hakuoro becomes the elder of the village and then takes a place at the head of a rebellion against the emperor.

Very good, that one. The characters are quite interesting too. Hakuoro, with his memories lost, remembers only a massacre of some sort and some beast with great fangs. Then there is the young lord Oboro, who regards Hakuoro as a brother and is completely devoted to him. And then there is the samurai captain and his loyal lieutenant...

It is really worth watching even though most of the characters have Chobits-like ears and tails :P What I like the most is the fact that the main character is not a teenager but an adult which is rather unusual...

I fell in love with Black Lagoon. Totally and completely. That's an anime for me! Action! Action! And more action! Things going boom! Gun-fights! Treasure hunting! It's like watching an action TV series in anime format. I love the fact that the main heroes are not children but adults. And the females! Levi and Balalaika rock *beams* But it's not for the faint-hearted since in every ep a lot of people die.

And what really surprised me - in the good kind of way - was Utawarerumono (The One Being Sung). I'm not sure why I put off watching that one but now I can't get enough. It's really cool. The premise is not that original: The village healer finds an injured man in the woods and she takes him home. The man wakes up but has no memories. But he has a mask on his face that won't come off no matter what. And since the man doesn't have anywhere to go, he stays in the village... It sounds pretty lame but there are fights, baddies, forest gods etc. etc. Not really an action anime but on the good side of the fantasy ones :)

Tried to watch Demonbane too... I'm not sure what to think of it. The mix of magic and mecha... nya... If it would be just Kuro, his magic and his detective agency, that would be perfect (a bit like the Dresden Files books) but the whole grimoire thingy... and the baddies are rather tongue-in-the-cheek-ish too... I will probably give it one or two more eps to see where it's going.

And I changed my layout again. What a surprise! :D
