Do you remember me talking about ordering Gorgeous Carat Galaxy? Well, I waited and waited for it to be shipped to me but nothing was happening. So, I canceled the item and ordered it again and now it's in the "shipping soon" phase :D See? A kick in the butt is enough sometimes.

But for this manga not to feel lonely during its journey across the ocean, I had to order another one: "Incubus" by Yayoi Neko. It might not be a real Japanese manga but wow, the premise is rather cool! But as a friend of mine asked me: What would you call an incubus that's after men and not women? *scratches her head*

I'm still reading and very much enjoying "Guilty Pleasures" by Laurell K. Hamilton, the first book in her Anita Blake Series. That's a heroine I like! Anita is spunky and has guts *nods*

And I can say only WOW to Utawarerumono. I'm not even sure why I enjoy this anime so much, but I do. It has a great story, amazing characters and it's simply catching, you know? It grabs the unsuspecting and won't let go :)

Hehe, of course I had to buy that one! :P And I know about succubi... but what about a male incubus that is after men? Gay incubus? XD

The early Anita Blake stuff is good. Just don't read beyond Obsidian Butterfly. After that spunky turns into slutty, badly edited boring sex. And FF.net level editing and writing.

Sad thing was that I liked the series and the books all got passed around and discussed and you looked forward to getting the book. The last few have just been pitiful. If she wanted to write soft porn, she had the Merry series for that.

I just finished the first book in the Anita Blake series and... I don't know. The action was excellent but everything else... I simply don't like Anita. At first she was spunky, but in the second half of the book she was spiteful, not sarcastic. And I hated it how she looked down at every supernatural being. She exploited them and when she got what she wanted, she just threw them away :(

If you stick with the series, you find out that she had issues. Issues that are brought up every freakin' book it seems, till they just bog down the plot. You might want to read book 2 before giving up on the series.

Are the later books in the Anita Blake series really that bad?

And can I friend you? We seem to have a lot in common :)
