Thank you and lotsa flowers to everybody who participated in my poll! *snuggles her flist*

I finally solved the problem with softsubs! The latest verison of VLC takes care of it just perfectly! :) Thank goodness!

Caught up on Ergo Proxy. This one is really weird and to be honest, it gives me the creeps! X( It reminds me a lot of Twin Peaks - you never know what's real and what's not. Real, Vincent and Pino make a really strange family... I think the words weird, strange and creepy pretty much sum up this anime!

Today, I taught myself how to make the origami paper crane! Yeah, the easiest origami, I know, but for me, it's a big step forward. I've wanted to learn origami for years and now I'm finally doing something about it! X)

I also started reading "Guilty Pleasures" by Laurell K. Hamilton, the first book in the Anita Blake series. I read the Czech edition, though the English version has a much nicer cover art.

And now I'm browsing Amazon looking for cool mangas (I have enough books for the time being). There are some amazing ones there... My poor bank account :(

The latest episode of Ouran High School Host Club was incredible. Funny but so touching. Tamaki really loves Haruhi! I loved it when SPOILERS ) Aww, super cute! This is one of the best anime this season!

Gah, Ergo Proxy, ep 9! *blinkblink* I downloaded the Ani-Jiyuu version so if you had another one, could you tell me if SPOILERS ) *is ded* I wouldn't have expected something like that from Ergo Proxy! And if [livejournal.com profile] zerotwofan didn't tell me that Ishida Akira is voicing Vincent, I wouldn't have noticed. His voice sounds so different, deep and very male! *enthralled* And did you notice? Inoue Kazuhiko voiced the main chara of ep 9! *squees like a rabid fangirl*

Tokko... Wow! I didn't want to download Oyasumi's version because I have had bad experience with .mkv files but alas, no one else seems to have picked up that one. So far, the files work though *crosses fingers* The anime is so cool! Yeah, yeah, I wonder what a psychiatrist would say about how fond I'm off violent anime X)

Last night, I watched the first episode of Ergo Proxy. It was... different. Action, dark, dark stuff, robots, unpleasant future, a very strong female character... It's definitely different from other anime that appear these days and that are all light colors and simple design. Don't take me wrong, this anime is wonderfully drawn and the plot snatches you from the very first minute. It's definitely a keeper and I can't wait to watch the next episode!

Shinigami's Ballad on the other hand... It appears to be a less violent, less dark but just as sad clone of Jigoku Shoujo. There is no revenge but every episode tells the viewers a story about two characters and one of them dies at the end of course. The main character is the White Shinigami who cries for her victims because they can't cry anymore since they are dead. I'm not sure if I will follow this one. As I said, it reminds me too much of Jigoku Shoujo. It's one thing when there are two very similar mecha-anime but two anime of this sort... I don't know.
