This might not be my cuppa, but Michael Shanks and Erica Durance as a married couple? Sweet!

The CTV network in Canada has just greenlit Saving Hope, a new 1-hour drama starring Stargate SG-1 veterans Michael Shanks and Erica Durance.

Shanks plays Charlie Harris, a medical doctor and chief of surgery who winds up in a coma in his own Toronto hospital. As his wife and fellow surgeon Alex Reid (Durance) struggles to cope with the situation and fight for his life, Harris wanders the hospital in “spirit” form, not sure if he’s a ghost or a figment of his own imagination.

Twelve hours of the new series have been ordered, in addition to the 1-hour pilot already filmed.

* Starz picked up Chris Judge's Rage of Angels, a two-hour-long backdoor pilot. Chris Judge will play Archangel Michael who comes to Earth to search for Lucifer. And who does Judge envision to play Lucifer? Michael Shanks!!! Eeeeeeeeee! Hopefully, those two will be in it together! \o/

* According to WCwriters' tweet, there's a good chance that WhiCo will have an extended S2 premiere! *crosses fingers*

* SyFy orders a comedy pilot about scifi actors with Michael Rosenbaum! He's so cute with hair!

* Ricky Martin comes out! Aww, cute! I've loved him and his music for years. I have several of his albums at home and there's so much energy in his songs... Loved this: "I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am."

* David James Elliot cast in Soundrels, as "the patriarch of a family of criminals who decide to go straight after he is arrested." Might be interesting...

* Don Johnson "in negotiations for the lead role on ABC's sitcom pilot, Southern Discomfort. Sounds interesting two!

* New sexy promo for Castle.

* And Supernatural returned with 2.95 mil., 1.2 demo! Woohoo!

Michael Shanks to guest star on Sanctuary in an episode written by Alan McCullough!

Sweet! I love Michael Shanks and Alan McCullough wrote the best SGA episodes - like Outcast or The Queen - with great character interaction and intriguing storylines. Even Joe Mallozzi had to admit that fans loved McCullough for his team-oriented episodes - I wonder why the other writers didn't take a hint, then.

The best Stargate audiobook so far! It's beautifully read by Michael Shanks and the story just rocks: it concentrates on the SGC and especially the SG-1 team trying to shut down a gate to a different reality. It's suspenseful, full of team-spirit and so sad in places that it made me literally cry - though it does have a happy ending, kind of. It's SG-1 at their best, caring for each other and being an awesome team. And the interview with Michael Shanks at the very end is really funny - I love the fact that he still loves playing Daniel Jackson, that he likes going back to him XD
