Quite similar, let me tell you!
Jan. 5th, 2009 09:19 amI started reading Matthew Reilly's "Ice Station" and let me tell you, it so reminds me of SGA! It takes place in Antarctica where a polar station discovers a space ship underground. And the rescue unit, Marines, sets out from McMurdo, being led by a man who is consider to be too young for actual leadership - so, it's all there: Antarctica, a space ship under the ice, a too young leader... Awesome! \o/
Also, why does Amazon keep discounting The Arc of Truth and Continuum BluRay but not Continuum itself? It's rather frustrating! /o\

Date: 2009-01-05 08:55 am (UTC)I used to like David Morrell's books, but then he started to get too... literary for me and the fun was gone from his books :(

Date: 2009-01-05 07:06 pm (UTC)I ordered Area 7 but I'm not sure if it's still available here in the Czech Republic. I know that I can order it from Amazon but I want my mum to be able to read it - she loved Ice Station - and she doesn't speak English. But they do have Scarecrow and The Seven Sacred Stones (or something like that ;P).
