SGA's audio commentaries are fun!

And you learn some very cute things. Like when Amanda Tapping did the commentary with Martin Wood and she said that the SGA actors were such a great bunch of people and so tight that she was really careful not to disrupt their working relationship. They, the actors, were all so nervous when they found out that TPTB nabbed Amanda, because it was Amanda Tapping! But they all came to her trailer, one by one, and welcomed her on board and she thought that it was really amazing and thoughtful.
Another thing we learn is that Mark Dacascos is one of the nicest men the director, I think it was William Warring, ever worked with and that the stunt coordinator BamBam worked with Mark D. on The Crow. It's awesome to hear a thing like that! I've been Mark's fan since I saw him in Crying Freeman!
Other tidbits:
- Joe Flanigan dislikes Sheppard being all "earnest", as they said. Joe thinks that Sheppard is really awkward when it comes to emotional stuff so when he was asked if Sheppard and McKay would ever hug he answered "Over my dead body!" XD Yes, Sheppard doesn't accept a hug from Teyla well, so can you see him hugging McKay? :D
- The writers also love to hear David Hewlett prattle on so they give him nonsensical monologues just to see what he would do with it. And David Nykel and David Hewlett love to work together and everybody thinks that they are simply great on-screen!
Hey, Blood Ties is out on DVD in the UK and for 9Ł only! But there are no extras on the set. I wonder if I should wait for the R1 release - whenever that might come - and hope that there will be some bonus worth the wait. I mean, they promised us a soundtrack bonus...
And my Eureka S2 DVDs are here! *swoons* I predict much DVD watching in my near future :) Which reminds me, I need some Eureka icons!
