Finished season 22! And I have to say, Ben is proving to be as accident prone as Blair Sandburg in The Sentinel. I mean, seriously, in this 9 episodes, Ben was shot twice, taken hostage, buried alive and his girlfriend was murdered. Being Semir's partner really is hazardous to your health and well-being!

The best episode of the season was definitely Begraben (Buried). In it, an old enemy of Ben's returned - played by Sven Martinek* - kidnapped him and buried him alive. Semir had to scramble like crazy to find him, while watching him on a hidden camera the baddie put inside the coffin suffocate - and then drown, because, you know, the lack of oxygen wasn't enough, it started raining too and the coffin was slowly filling with water. Man, Semir was ready to kill a bitch! And the scene where he finally found Ben...

Aww... Really! I just love how close these two are, that they are not afraid to show emotions.

Speaking of Sven Martinek - I adored him in Der Clown. And it makes me really, really angry just thinking of what a mess RTL turned the show into! When it was just Max, Claudia and Dobbs kicking ass and being generally awesome, it was perfection pure. But then they killed off Ludowski and introduced some secret organization and time travel - WHAT THE EFFING EF?! - which is when I stopped watching. Later on, I learned they killed off CLAUDIA too! Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! God. I think I will just remember the awesome pilot and first season and think of this show fondly like that because how can anyone fuck a show over like this is beyond my comprehension! Grr!

So, Neil Gaiman isn't in London right now, but the voice cast of Neverwhere sent him a picture from the day they recorded the drama!

He posted it in his blog - link - together with a list of who plays whom in the radio dramatization:

James McAvoy - Richard
Natalie Dormer - Door
David Harewood - Marquis
Sophie Okonedo - Hunter
Benedict Cumberbatch - Islington
Anthony Head - Croup
David Schofield - Vandemar
Bernard Cribbins - Old Bailey
Romola Garai - Jessica
Christopher Lee - Earl of Earl's Court
Andrew Sachs - Tooley
George Harris - Abbot
Don Gilet - Fulingous, Ruislip, Blackfriar
Abdul Salis - Sable, Sump, Clarence, Homeless Man
Paul Chequer - Gary, Guard 2

Yasmin Paige - Anaesthesia, Tenant 2 – female, Match girl
Johnny Vegas - Lord Ratspeaker
Stephen Marcus - Varney, Homeless man, Letting agent, Guard 1

Do I get it right that James McAvoy is playing the main character? I haven't read the book, so I have no idea who the characters of James' and Benedict Cumberbatch's are. Can someone who actually read the book tell me more?

OMG, peeps! Manu Bennett, the amazing Crixus from Spartacus, was cast in a recurring part in Arrow. He will play spoilers )! Puuuuurfection! This got me so incredibly excited. Manu Bennett in my favorite new show. EEEEEEEEEEEE! \o/

Also, Spartacus might get a spin-off focused on Caesar: link. Interesting. If we get a gay ship, I'll be on board :)

Wow. Just... WOW! This movie was amazing. Sure, it had a slightly slower start and the girl and her friend were spoiled brats who annoyed the heck outta me but Liam Neeson was rocking it like whoa!

When I noticed that the movie was written by Luc Besson, I knew I was in for a treat because Luc Besson = ACTION! And there was so much it! I loved how brutal Bryan was, taking no prisoners, killing where another hero would just maim. This was a soldier, a special operative in action. He was so ruthless, like when he shot his friend's wife because the friend betrayed him and Bryan needed information from him. No remorse. Bryan shot his wife even though they were friends and she was an innocent bystander in this and I have no doubt that he really would have killed her if his friend didn't comply and gave him the info he needed.

I also liked that it showed prostitution and human trafficking in all their ugly light. For those who own the girls, it's a business and the girls are meat to be sold and discarded. I'm glad that they didn't try to prettify it, that they didn't make any excuses for what it is.

And man, watching Liam Neeson kick so much ass made me want to watch other movies of his. I already saw The A-Team and Breakfast on Pluto, I will have to look up what else is available. I wanted to buy Star Wars just because of him but it's impossible to get it on DVD and I refuse to buy a BR player just because of it, now way, no how! Oh well...
