When I noticed that the movie was written by Luc Besson, I knew I was in for a treat because Luc Besson = ACTION! And there was so much it! I loved how brutal Bryan was, taking no prisoners, killing where another hero would just maim. This was a soldier, a special operative in action. He was so ruthless, like when he shot his friend's wife because the friend betrayed him and Bryan needed information from him. No remorse. Bryan shot his wife even though they were friends and she was an innocent bystander in this and I have no doubt that he really would have killed her if his friend didn't comply and gave him the info he needed.
I also liked that it showed prostitution and human trafficking in all their ugly light. For those who own the girls, it's a business and the girls are meat to be sold and discarded. I'm glad that they didn't try to prettify it, that they didn't make any excuses for what it is.
And man, watching Liam Neeson kick so much ass made me want to watch other movies of his. I already saw The A-Team and Breakfast on Pluto, I will have to look up what else is available. I wanted to buy Star Wars just because of him but it's impossible to get it on DVD and I refuse to buy a BR player just because of it, now way, no how! Oh well...
