I really shouldn't be allowed into a DVD store with a credit card *cringes* DVDs I bought...

Hot Fuzz with Simon Pegg
Shutter Island with Leonardo DiCaprio
National Treasure 1&2 with Nicholas Cage
The Chronicles of Narnia 1&2
Iron Angels 1-3 with Moon Lee (my favorite Hong Kong actress!)
Lexx, the first 4 DVDs

Gosh, don't even ask how much I left in that store. But they had a sale like whoa! Everything down 70-80%! And there were so many more movies there that I wanted to buy but I restrained myself. I did, really *whines*

Quite an enjoyable romp! I'm not the biggest fan of Nicolas Cage but I don't hate him either. My like or dislike for him mostly depends on how good his part in a particular movie is. And Ben Gates was quite a fun part. I liked that Ben wasn't a macho guy. He was actually quite verklempft when it came to dealing with Abigail. But I liked how determined he was to keep the treasure out of Ian's hands.

I really liked Sean Bean in this movie. Again, I don't love him as an actor but I don't hate him either. I don't seek out his movies because mostly, he plays the bad guys. Oh, not that he isn't an awesome actor, I just need to root for characters to like them. In this movie, I liked that he actually cared about his crew, that they weren't disposable to him. Even outsiders like Ben and Riley he didn't try to kill lightly, he had regrets. But his core crew were actually his friends. That was quite unusual in a movie like that. Oh, and on a shallow note, I never realized just how green Sean Bean's eyes were.

And Ian's crew and the FBI agents! It was like playing "spot the actor"! So many famous TV actors: Erik King, Mark Pellegrino, David Dayan Fisher, Stewart Finlay-McLennan...

Oh, and Diane Kruger... Joshua Jackson - Peter in Fringe - is a lucky, lucky guy *_*

Fantastic female characters, that's one of the reasons why I love Warehouse 13 so much. I think that most writers out there could learn a thing or a dozen from this show about how to write a kick-ass - both literally and figuratively - women who're both strong and likable, women whose strength doesn't depend on just how bitchy they are - see most female characters in charge on TV these days.

So, let's celebrate the awesomeness that's W13 women - regular, recurring and guest-starring...

Myka Bering who was pre-med and pre-law before she joined the secret service. She loves books, she speaks several languages and she doesn't want children in any foreseeable future.

Claudia Donovan who - after a lengthy stay in a psychiatric ward - became the tech wizard of Warehouse 13, destined to become the new Guardian. She's very protective of one Steve Jinks.

If you're looking for a show with women you can love, search no more - Warehouse 13 it is!
