Fox renewed Fringe for a 5th and last season, 13 episodes were ordered: link. I'm glad that the show will be given a chance to wrap up everything properly! The ratings were abysmal and I don't even want to know just how low WB had to go with the licensing fees to get Fox to order the fifth season *cringes*

Oh, well. I'm just happy to get more Peter and Olivia and Walter! Usually, I'm not after ships but I just adore Peter/Olivia and I hope they do make them a real, lasting couple and give them some epic finale!

Day 6: Series that you have many ships in

I usually have only one or two pairings in a show, but when you count in strictly canonical stuff that I love but not necessarily ship in fics...

Supernatural

I love John/Mary, Sam/Jessica, Sam/Sarah in the canon and Sam/Dean and Dean/Castiel in the fanon. I wish the writers had the balls to make Dean and Castiel an actual couple. Which will never happen because American broadcast is a chicken in that regard. I mean, should the show get renewed for S8, it's more than probable that it would be the last one. So why not go all out? The show loves to shock and shake, so why NOT make Dean and Castiel an official couple? *hands*

Well... This is just my personal opinion and please, PLEASE, do correct me if I'm wrong but - I don't think that Jensen would be willing to play a gay or a bi person. I think it would make him highly uncomfortable. Last year, at the con in Rome, it was embarrassing how insistent he was that SPN was not "THAT kind of a show" when someone mentioned what a lovely couple Dean and Castiel would make - it was not offensive for once, no IN YOUR FACE SLASH comment that some fans love to throw around when meeting actors, they just mentioned that Dean and Castiel would fit together perfectly - and Jensen almost twisted himself in a pretzel to make it clear that NO WAY NO HOW! He's a lovely man, a beautiful man, an amazing actor - but this... this did make me think of him less, to be honest. I hope it's "just" his catholic upbringing and not real homophobia, that would crush me...

Remaining days cut! )

This is a show that I'm really looking forward to, Common Law: trailer.

It looks like so much fun. But it'll all depend on the chemistry between Michael Ealy and Warren Kole, I hope they click! Well, I couldn't imagine a great chemistry between Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay either, but USA proved me wrong. Do it again, USA, bring us another dynamic duo!

The show starts airing on Friday, May 11!

"Brother X Brother Vol. 5" by Hirotaka Kisaragi

♦ ♦

I really wanted to like this volume because "Brother x Brother" has belonged to my favorite series from the beginning. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Volume 4 delivered a good ending to the main story and I hoped that the author would begin something new, a new plot. Unfortunately, Kisaragi continued spinning the same thing - and it felt like an unnecessary addendum. It was downright boring. No excitement. And when Soichiro started wearing that stupid dog costume, it dreadfully reminded me of "Gravitation", never a good thing.

Hopefully, volume 6 will be better.
