Day 5: A crossover pairing you think would work

I don't like Xovers but...


Johnny Utah & Brian O'Conner, Point Break & The Fast and the Furious

These two... Both fell hard for a criminal - and it doesn't matter if you see slash there or not! - and sacrificed their career for him, Johnny for Bodhi and Brian for Dom. This experience could be the thing that brings them together, this understanding of each other. And ever since I read Bone's story "It Takes One To Know One", I can't get this pairing out of my head!

Fic rec: Sherlock

"Their Whole Life Through" by eight_demands | AU | Sherlock/John, Mycroft/Lestrade | John and Sherlock meet in a different way: Sherlock's the patient every doctor hates. Then he meets John at the surgery. | ~18.000 words

John's eyes narrowed. He drained the rest of his coffee and pitched the empty cup into the bin. "You know," he said to Lestrade, "we should all have dinner sometime. You and Mycroft." He gestured to himself and Sherlock.

Sherlock looked horrified, and Lestrade was watching Sherlock. "I think that can be arranged," he said, amused.

"It certainly will not." Sherlock was practically hopping from foot to foot in impatience.

The series is unfinished but both stories are stand-alone, so it doesn't really matter. And it's such a lovely, humorous fic!

“[My friend and his wife have] two children asleep - they’ve got enough on their plate without this actor in a crisis in their kitchen - and she’s balancing two chairs to get the right angle on me and desk lamps bouncing light off bits of paper, just trying desperately to make it look half decent. Because it’s going to go into JJ Abrams’ iPad."

And then his: "I’m English, you’ve got to be really straight with me on this." He's so incredibly funny! I can't wait to find out what character he's playing...
