Oh, Riptide...

I received a very lovely feedback on my old Nick/Murray Riptide story "What's Lost Never to Return" and I realized just how much I missed the show. At first, I used to ship Nick and Cody like whoa, but then, when they introduced Joanna, only to kill her fiancé and get her together with Cody - a pretty convoluted and meh storyline - I focused on Nick and Murray and was... smitten. Seriously, their friendship, from the very beginning but especially after Cody got together with Joanna, was so tender and sweet. Like in the last episode, the scene with the gun. It was so... so... I mean... *hands* Wonderful. Truly wonderful...

Captain America

Saw Captain America today and I can honestly say that Chris Evans was the best thing about the movie. He was so sweet and earnest and charming. I liked the movie but it lacked the necessary... umpf to top Thor, IMHO. To be perfectly honest, for me as a non-American, it was pretty silly, almost laughable in its over the top patriotism. Thor felt much more... approachable for me as a European.

ETA: I get where the patriotism is coming from - the era, the comic book, etc. and so on - it doesn't change the fact that it felt... ridiculous in places.

I haven't seen any slash in this movie, no matter what anybody says, it was all Steve/Peggy for me *shrugs*

Oh, funny story. I knew that there was a scene after the end titles so we stayed, me and the twins - and we were the only one in the whole theater! The cleaning crew was shuffling impatiently by the door the whole time, cursing our butts, I guess. But we wanted to see it and we didn't budge! Ha! The trailer for The Avengers looked awesome!

1. X-Men: First Class
2. Thor
3. Fast Five
4. Captain America

Am I forgetting something? Also, we saw the trailers for Super 8 (still not interested), The Adventures of Tintin (not interested either), Green Lantern (still meh looking) and Immortals (not bad but I need to see a different trailer, I think).
