Day 08 - A show everyone should watch:

The obvious answer would be Supernatural and White Collar (and the late and still deeply mourned Stargate: Atlantis) - but that would be cheating. I could answer almost every question naming these shows, so...

Castle! Go, peeps, watch it, it's so worth it! It's funny and touching and it makes you feel GOOD! And it has something for everybody - Castle/Beckett for the het fans and Esposito/Ryan for us slash fans. And they are all amazing. The show grew on me so fast and now, it's my favorite male/female show, it even replaced Bones in my heart! And the more we learn about the characters, the more I like them. That ep about Esposito's old partner was so great, just like the serial killer one. Fantastic! Thumbs up for this one, ABC!

According to GateWorld, Ben Browder's getting his very own web series!

Former Stargate SG-1 and Farscape star Ben Browder is slated to star in a new “noir” Web series entitled Naught for Hire.

(...)

The show will have the feel of old school style detective stories, and will consist of 13 six-minute episodes. The show is set about 20 years from now in a world where humans and artificial intelligence objects such as cars and answering machines live at peace with one another.

The Web-based series will also star Juliet Landau, who played Drusilla in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off, Angel.

Naught for Hire goes into production this summer and is planned to premiere online in December. Check out the official Web site at NaughtForHire.com.

Awesome! Sounds terrific, exactly up my alley :)

According to TVGuide.com, SyFy's about to remake the old UK show Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased)!

The network green-lit a reboot of the 1960s British cop show, to be executive-produced by Josh Bycel (Scrubs) and Jonathan Fener (American Dad).

The original series, which ran for 26 episodes in 1969-1970, starred Kenneth Cope as Marty Hopkirk, a private detective who returned from the dead to help his partner, Jeff Randall (Mike Pratt), solve crimes. A short-lived 2000 remake starred British comedy duo Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer.

"Josh and Jonathan have found a great way to update the buddy-cop formula with a supernatural twist," said Mark Stern, Syfy's executive vice president of original programming. "We look forward to working with them ... to bring new life to this British classic."

Man, I used to love the show. The British remake was a boring flop that shouldn't have ever happened, IMHO. But I'm really curious about the US version, what actors they'll choose etc. I'm so in for the buddy-cop formula!

Batman finds a deadly virus in Outer Mongolia and gets infected. Nightwing has to rescue him. And all that happens on the anniversary of Dick's parents' death.

Story by Kelley Puckett: Pathetic, bordering on laughable. Seriously, I don't expect Shakespeare, readable is enough. But this was so bad that I actually snickered in places.

Art by Toby Cypress: Hideously ugly. Sometimes, you don't even know what's happening. The drawings look like the work of a seriously mentally disturbed person. Atrocious!

Conclusion: Avoid, avoid, avoid! I could barely finish it and I'm throwing it away. How could these two people get their work published with DC Comics is totally beyond me. Someone should be fired for getting it printed!

Not a bad episode, but Esposito and Ryan were definitely the best part!
