Amazing customer experience!
Aug. 25th, 2008 09:15 amSo, last night, I found out that I couldn't play the first DVD in my Eureka S2 box set. When I pulled it out of the box, it was a bit scratched but when I tried to play one of the eps, it worked just fine so I shrugged it off. But last night, I tried the bonus features and it started to stutter in the player and the screen froze. Well, I thought that it was the scratch and if I could copy the DVD, it would work just fine - to explain: I live in Central Europe and the return costs of the DVD would be huge - but when I tried it, all I got was "Cyclic Redundant Check" (whatever that means). The other DVDs in the box copied just fine.
And so I wrote to Amazon. I couldn't just return the DVDs because my window expired on Aug. 16th. But their customer service was amazing. They apologized, refunded me, assured me that I don't have to return the DVDs since the costs would be abhorrent and ordered a new set for me immediately. All that within 12 hours! I was floored. I left them a thank you feedback for their helpful services. I'm still pleasantly surprised.
And since I'm talking about Amazon and DVDs already, I took a look at my Blood Ties DVDs (after the Eureka disaster, I became paranoid!) and oh my, the quality is amazing! And the song playing with the menus... I will have to look it up! Oh, and I found out that Andy Mikita directed 3 eps of BT and Peter DeLuise 1! It's a small world...
