Yay, another two episodes of SGA watched, with commentaries and without: The Long Good Bye and Coup D'Etat.

In the first one, I liked the kick ass action between "Weir" and "Sheppard". I love the scene where the entities overtake them both for the first time and they start shooting at each other, leaving everybody completely confused. So much fun! For the first time, I could see real chemistry between Weir and Sheppard, as ridiculous as it might sound. And then when everybody in the command center listened to them talking over the comm! Heh! XP Also, when Teyla was ordered to shoot "Sheppard", I loved the interaction between Caldwell and Rodney: basically it came down to "McKay, break Weir's code or Teyla will have to shoot Sheppard and it'll be all your fault. No pressure or anything..." XD

I loved this exchange:
Ronon: I take Sheppard, you take Weir.
Teyla: Why?
Ronon: I know how he thinks but I have no clue how she thinks!

Also, the commentary was hilarious. In the last scene, where Sheppard and Weir are both in the infirmary, Sheppard is playing with a PDA. Actually, it was Joe Flanigan being bored between the takes and playing solitaire on Tori Higginson's PDA. When they then started shooting the scene, he just kept playing and doing his lines. The directory, Andy Mikita, loved it! He thought that it was hilarious, Tori thought that it was cute XD

In the second ep, Coup D'Etat, there were basically no special effects but I liked it very much, especially the way Sheppard kept teasing Rodney, those scenes were hilarious.

Rodney: Are we in some sort of trouble?
John: Was it the gas or the prison cell that was your first clue?

Also, Lorne's dry humor was hilarious. "So... you came to rescue us?" Wah! *giggly*

And then we get Sheppard in a tight spot once more, being threatened and taken as the first hostage to kill should Weir not comply. It's funny but he really is the damsel in distress of this show - and I love it to pieces, believe me *vbg* Oh, and Ronon went ballistic again when he found out that once again, John was in trouble. I love me some neanderthal!Ronon. I adore the relationship he has with Sheppard :)

The commentary was so funny too. They were talking about how fans reacted to the news about Lorne's untimely "death", how upset they were. The producers and writers know how much people adore Lorne and they themselves love the way Kavan Smith portrays his character (I like him too, he's sizzling hot!). Also, David Hewlett got burned by an empty shell while filming this episode. It caught him directly in the eye during one of the shoot-outs but he kept in character until they yelled cut. Ouch, ouch! Oh, and they asked why Sheppard and McKay were the only ones who had yellow protection glasses and if Sheppard and Weird did the dirty after the last scene faded out with the whole "Let's call it a night" exchange! So funny XD

Next episode: Michael!

Bouncy!

-> This is my 3rd? 4th? 5th? layout in a week. Woo! XP

-> For the first time, there will be a blooper reel on the Stargate Atlantis DVDs. Yahoo for the S4 box set! *grabby hands*

-> The 2nd part of [livejournal.com profile] annkiri's report on Jared's panel. I love the fanboy's questions! And Jared talking about Jensen just makes my heart melt. Aww...

-> Fic rec time:
SPN:
WINCEST --> "Stoned" by [livejournal.com profile] setissma. Dean comes back to the motel room stoned. A great feel!good fic *vbg* Words: 1.700.

SGA:
OT4 --> "The Complexity of Daily Life" by Teaphile. The expedition had to flee from Atlantis. Now they have to make a life for themselves on a foreign planet. Rodney, Teyla and Ronon get together but John refuses to join. He's asexual and he fears how the others will react. Oh wow, there really need to be more fics about asexuality. It's quite an interesting plot, let me tell you. Words: 30.000+.

* Psych: Yay, another famous TV actor pops up on the show! That's great news! And that episode sounds so hilarious. James Roday will have a blast with that XD

* Chuck: S2 promises double trouble. Woo! I can't wait for the show to come back and for the DVDs to come out! I pre-ordered them, of course ;)

* NCIS: The show will have a new regular. Might be interesting. At least it's not someone completely new and unknown... Which reminds me, I still need to watch the two-hour-finale. Eeep!

* Patrick Swayze gets a series of his own. I'm so glad to hear that he's healthy enough to return to work again!

* FOX moves its schedule back a week, so now, their fall season will start on Sept. 1st, just like the CW's.

You know what I spent the evening doing? I watched song vids on YouTube. The whole frickin' evening *head/desk* I'm a lame duck, really.

On the other hand, I found an amazing SGA John Sheppard vid: link. The vid is simply stunning, everything I love about Sheppard compressed into one vid. It's about his ATA gene, how he kicks ass... awesome, truly truly awesome! And the music... Even people who do not follow the show should go and watch this vid. I'm smitten.

And I realized one thing - when I look for vids, I love the thumpy, rhythmic music best, something that gets my heart racing!

Also, I think I found my most favorite McShep vid ever: link. John and Rodney at their best. The song - Men of Devotion by FoolsGarden - is so them XD Take a look and you'll understand what I'm talking about. It's the best vid for times when you feel down *g*
