* Once I finish editing the rough draft of my translation of Salvatore's "Passage to Dawn", I'll start working on Steven Brust's "Teckla" - which means that I need to re-read the first two books - "Jhereg" and "Yendi" - and "Taltos" because it's been... four years now that I translated the latter. Yikes!

* I ordered S3+4 of Star Trek: Enterprise - another show owned in full. So now, I have S4 of SPN and S3+4 of ST:E on their way to me. I have no idea when I will watch all this, though. Fall season's starting this week!

Yay, I'm holding ST: Enterprise S2 in my hands! *coos* How awesome is that? But when will I watch it when I'm trying to marathon SPN right now? *ponders*

So, what am I missing now? My main goals these days...
Stargate SG-1 S10
Star Trek: Enterprise S3+4
NCIS S5+6
Supernatural S4 - on its way to me! *bounces*

Other stuff I want:
X-Files all of it
Babylon 5 all of it
Criminal Minds all of it

Me a hamster? Naaaaaaah! ;P

Good girl

I was such a good, good girl yesterday. Despite the awful heat, I finished my workload before 4pm - so I rewarded myself with Star Trek: Enterprise's S2. Amazon UK had it for 12.88 pounds only!

And I realized that if I wanted to read the last part of Kazuma Kodaka's "Kizuna", I would have to re-read the whole series first. I remember zip of what happened in the previous 10 volumes. It's been years since I read them. And this being the final part...

But first I need to finish John Meaney's "Bone Song", book 1 of the Tristopolis series, that I need to R&R for my boss. I just can't get into the story. 50 pages in and it's all monotone droning, all described, nothing really felt. Though the setting is quite interesting.

And now, work!

And I'm now the proud owner of Star Trek: Enterprise's S1! So looking forward to this one. Now I just need to buy the rest of the show and then I can marathon it to my contentment - and finally see it in its entirety!

Also, thank you so much for the postcard, [livejournal.com profile] castalie! :)

I started watching SGA's S5. And yes, it's still making me nostalgic. I watched Search and Rescue's audio commentary and the behind-the-scenes vid and I really liked how both Martin Gero and Andy Mikita complimented Joe on his work - they called it some of the best work he had ever done - in the face of his family tragedy. They even talked about how Joe always said that the crew and especially the cast was his extended family. I thought that it was a nice touch.

And because I've been a good girl and a busy bee today, I rewarded myself with S1 of Star Trek: Enterprise from Amazon UK. Connor Trinneer is such a cutie!

You know, knowing how ST:E would end, I never finished watching the show. Sure, I did see the last ep but almost nothing of S4. Knowing that Trip would die totally ruined the show for me - yes, I'm very much AGAINST character-killing! But as I said earlier, now that I know of the official "fix-it" book, my fingers itch to buy ST:E on DVD - Amazon UK is having a ST sale, you know? *twitches*

But I can't! I have four DVD box sets pre-ordered from this month's release! Leverage, Psych, The Middleman and Fast & Furious! My bank account would never recover! *whines*

Oh, and speaking of ST:E. I ordered the "fix-it" book used because it was "out of stock" on Amazon - just like Peter David's ST: New Frontier book "Martyr" - and whoops! It's back "in stock". Right. The moment I order it used and bother my friend with shipping it to me, they have it new. Oh, well... I hope that my friend won't fork me XP

I've never seen any of the Star Trek shows in its entirety. Living in Central Europe, we had to wait years for new eps and one loses interest quickly thanks to that.

ST:TOS -> I've never seen the original series. Not even one ep. I did see some of the movies, though. But the series? Nope.

ST:TNG -> Ah, the series that I grew up with. I crushed so hard on Riker! He and Diana Troi are my OTP for this show and I started to lose interest fast once they turned their ship into a Riker-Troi-Worf triangle. I'm glad that they got together in the end, though :)

ST:DS9 -> Not my type of a show. The station was really dark and... metallic. The plot - too much about politics. I loved Dr. Julian Bashir, though. When his past and abilities were revealed, I squeed! But to be honest, I watched for his friendship with O'Brien. The rest of the characters didn't interest me much.

ST:V -> I fell hard for this show. Chakotay was my man, must've been the tattoo ;P I loved him and Janeway as a couple, but he and Seven of Nine? HOT! Like sizzling hot. What a great idea, these two together. Too bad that it wasn't explored more.

ST:E -> The most likable crew of all the shows, definitely. And Trip, Trip was simply cuddly! I was so pissed when they killed him off in the last ep. But! Then I learned about the official tie-in set directly after the show's finale. "The Good That Men Do" fixes the whole mess and twists Trip's death into a really awesome thing! So happy here.

ST: Movie -> Loved it! Like a lot 8)

You know, I'm a slasher at heart but in these shows, I shipped the characters in a very het way: Riker/Troi, Chakotay/Seven, Trip/T'Pol...

There's only one slash pairing in the ST series for me: Garak/Bashir. Those two... Wow! And Kirk/Bones in the new movie, of course, but that's another thing entirely... 8)
