Lewis Collins, Bodie from the UK TV show The Professionals, died :( That's so sad. I loved the guy and I loved him as Bodie. I think I shall re-watch the show in his honor. Bodie and Doyle were one of my first OTPs!

I watched episodes 301-302 of The Listener. So far, I like S3 more than the previous seasons, now that Toby has an official status with the special unit and every one of his colleagues knows about his gift. I loved the captain's reaction. And I'm glad that Oz keeps being awesome!

I also watched episode 201 of Doctor Who. My first episode with David Tennant. 10 is so much better than 9, I'm already liking the show much more. Loved his scenes with the Face of Boe - Cpt. Jack was called "The Face of Boe" once, wasn't he?

Oh, and BBC's Atlantis was renewed for S2, just FYI. Congrats to its fans.

Day 29: Favorite ‘birds of a feather flock together’ couple

Doyle & Bodie, The Professionals

Yeah, Doyle is pretty much the bleeding heart whereas Bodie is all "devil may care" but despite their different background - Doyle was a cop, Bodie a mercenary - they are both ruthless and would do anything to protect their country and each other - see Bodie slapping that woman who kidnapped Doyle, a sight unseen on TV these days! O_o

Hmm... This makes me want to re-watch the show. I have it on DVD, the whole thing, but I haven't checked out the discs yet, I've only seen it like ten times on TV, it's incredibly popular here, even though it's 30 years old already.

The big screen version will see former special ops mercenary Bodie and counter terrorism detective Doyle unite in their first mission for covert British security unit CI5 in what is billed as an origin story for the characters.

Whu...?! Please, don't let them turn this iconic piece of TV into an utter piece of crap like it happened with Charlie's Angels, I Spy or Starsky & Hutch!

* According to Variety.com, it doesn't look good for Moonlight getting a 2nd season *sigh*

* Also according to Variety.com, Joss Whedon's Dollhouse won't be on until mid-season and the CW picked up BH 902 10 and Surviving the Filthy Rich (formerly known as How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls).

* I don't even watch Desperate Housewives but wow, what a huge year-to-year drop in ratings - a year ago, it brought in 21.03 mil. viewers, 8.2/18 demo while this year, it's "only" 15.75 mil. viewers and 6.0/15 demo. Wow!

I have a new layout! Jensen Ackles is so cute in that pic :D I chose Flexible Squares this time instead of The Boxer and this layout is optimized for the 1278x1024 resolution.

And since we are talking about new things...

There was the show The Professionals and Bodie and Doyle. And then there were The New Professionals and Curtis and Keel. Sure, The New Pros weren't as good, as captivating as the old ones, the stories weren't as interesting. But Curtis and Keel? They were just as cute together as Bodie and Doyle. And I? I was a Curtis-babe all the way :D

And here comes the fic recommendation. All gen and one-shots this time...
"Here We Go Again" by Loui. Curtis is shot saving Malone's life. Keel worries...

"White Walls" by alyse. Curtis suffers from PTSD and he locks himself inside white walls.

And I think that every Supernatural fan should go and read the fanfics by Rose of No Man's Land. She has gen fics and Wincest fics and all of them hurt so good. She loves to see Dean suffer but beware, not all of her stories have a happy ending...

Folks, do you know the Jump the Shark web site? They have a poll for shows that never "jumped the shark" and Supernatural is on place 2 behind Lost so go and vote. And if possible, leave a comment in the forum!

I love the show The Professionals. Do you know it? If not, imagine Starsky and Hutch UK-style. Bodie and Doyle weren't cops but special agents and it's one of the best UK shows EVER! And the slash-possibilities... Yes, this show ran between 1977 and 1983, in the time when Bodie calling Doyle sweetheart and sunshine didn't rise any eyebrows. I think it's cute :D And yes, you guessed right, I'm a Doyle-babe all the way :D

And last night, I re-read this amazing fic! So, fic rec time :D

The Professionals: Slash, Bodie/Doyle...
"The Chameleon's Dish" by Kitty Fisher. In this fic, Bodie and Doyle part badly. Eight years later, Bodie comes back to take revenge. And it's not until it's almost too late that he comes to his senses, horrified by what he has done.
This is a very painful fic and the best one that I've come across in this fandom. Although it does have a happy ending, there is a non-con scene between the two main protagonists so it might not be everybody's cup of tea, but I liked it a lot!

And I continued working on my Gorgeous Carat fic, as amazing as it sounds. It's up to 7 315 words now and I still have 3 scenes to add. This is the longest one-shot I've ever written X)

I decided to use my greatestjournal as a fic archive. I'm too lazy to post my stories on my web page - LJ spoiled me rotten with its easy access - and since I already have a GJ, it would be good to use it too, right? And because I don't see the point in reposting everyday entries in all my journals, I decided to use GJ as a storage room :D

They are airing The Professionals on TV here again. Bodie and Doyle rock my socks off, folks. I think I feel like digging up some slash stories with these two *eyes

"Anabasis" by Purna. Sex, snow, and wolf dreams. This story has some supernatural elements that include wolves and life force sharing. It has a hurt!Ray and a vulnerable+sick!Fraser and it's also quite long so it's everything I love and adore :D

kellifer_fic. A curse turns Dean into a plushy doll. This is such an amazing feel-good story. It's hilarious how Dean is offended by his own... plushness :D
