Klaus has A LOT to make up for! I hope he finally pulls his head out of his ass and makes amends. Well, as much as Klaus can make amends, that is. But, seriously, dude, when even Elijah gives up on you, you know you fucked up.

Apparently, Jason Dohring booked a recurring part in The Originals S3 as a NO detective! Source. I guess I'll have to start watching the show again, then, just for him. I dropped it during S3 because the Curse of Julie Plec struck again! Love triangles, convoluted, nonsensical plot twists, brothers fighting each other instead of their common enemy... the usual. I don't understand how she can botch so many series with fantastic premises, but somehow, Julie Plec manages. But now that Jason Dohring joined the cast? I guess I'll have to give the series another try...

I cannot stop watching this scene:

It's so frickin' hot. Elijah teaching Gia how to fight was almost... erotic! I love watching really cool fights! And then, when he allowed her to crush his chest and grip his heart in her hand... O.O *_* ♥_♥ Man, the way they LOOKED at each other, breathing hard, her holding his heart... So INTENSE!

And I also loved that we got Mikael teaching Davina and right after that Elijah teaching Gia. That juxtaposition of their methods was really eye-opening. Mikael kept hurting Davina to teach her - Elijah allowed Gia to hurt HIM to teach her. Mikael loves torturing people - Elijah knows he can take the hurt and the pain so he does. Mikael sacrifices others - Elijah sacrifices himself. That was amazing!

Yes, I love the character of Elijah. He's brutal and he can be a pompous dick, but boy... he's AWESOME!

OMG, this song, These New Puritans' We Want War... Well, the first 3 min. 30 sec., that is, then it becomes crappy and discordant, not my thing. But the beginning... Sheeeeeeeeeeesh!

It played in The Originals, ep 121, The Battle of New Orleans, right after Elijah took on every single vampire in the French Quarter and tore them to pieces, only for the werewolves to barge in and kill every survivor. It started playing while Elijah was walking among the corpses and wounded, all, "Are we done here?"

God, the whole scene of him kicking so much ass... Goosebumps, folks! Klaus and Elijah standing amidst all those vampires thirsting for their blood, the brothers completely calm and collected, even amused by their audacity, Klaus' "I thought this lot had learned their lesson!" and Elijah's "Well, they're not exactly renowned for their genius." That was amazing, the kings of sass! To see them standing there, side by side, united and not bickering, sheesh! They're unstoppable when they fight for instead of against each other! And then Marcel was all, "You're gonna have to kill us all!" and they responded, "Okay." God! And Elijah's amused, "Gentlemen. Shall we?" And then he literally broke them! That was so HOT!

But seriously, what was Marcel thinking? Klaus and Elijah cannot be killed! They don't get tired. They have several times the strength of Marcel's vamps. They are the frickin' oldest vampires alive, living, breathing legends, the bogeymen of all vamps out there! And that's what I love about them so much. Sure, they are woobies and I adore their sweet brotherly scenes - but... God, when they actually apply themselves, they're as brutal as it gets. And it's seriously glorious!

As far as modern music and less known artists go, the best shows to introduce them are, IMHO, Teen Wolf and The Originals. Thanks to them, I've come across so many new artists and bands and songs that have become my favorites...

Like Ruu Campbell and his song The Call, introduced on TW:

Or Snow Ghosts and Hunted, on TW, too:

Or Hozier and his Arsonist's Lullabye, both on TW and TO:

TW used this song in its S4 finale, once the bad guys were defeated and everybody was exhausted and hurt, standing around the destroyed church. But I think TO used it much more effectively, in the scene where Klaus thanked Marcel for helping him and everybody was safe and sound - and then Hayley came in and told Klaus that they had another problem... cut to Elijah, bloodied and bound and held captive. Now THAT was an awesome cut, especially with this music!

And then there was the song I linked yesterday, London Grammar's The Devil Inside. SHEESH! \o/

Yeah, as far as music goes, these two shows make me very, VERY happy!

THAT Klaus and Elijah scene, you know which one, cut out...

And then the final song, The Devil Inside by London Grammar:

Wow... just... WOW! The perfect lyrics for the Klaus and Elijah scene: "Words as weapons, sharper than knives..." And they could've been, if Elijah had been a little less understanding, a little less kind. Instead...

Man, I'm loving this! This... this is me during SPN's S1, totally smitten with a brotherly relationship because Klaus and Elijah are just as brilliant as Sam and Dean!

I guess the gods of TV must have heard me talking about dropping old shows and getting new ones because TNT just canceled Perception, the Eric McCormack crime series: link. Oh well...

And I seem to have fallen under the spell of Daniel Gillies. He's doing... things to me! I'm loving him as Elijah on The Originals. And now I'll have to get my hands on Saving Hope, the Canadian supernatural doctor show - which I wanted to see anyway, because, you know, Erica Durance and Michael Shanks are in it. But now? With Daniel Gillies playing the third lead? \o/ But sheesh on a pogo stick. Daniel is three days a week on the set of TO, then another three on the set of SH, bouncing back and forth between the US and Canada. Man, I'm exhausted just thinking about it O.o

Also, The Originals are getting their own tie-in novels! Starting in January, so far, three books are planned, set in New Orleans in the 18th century, chronicling how the Mikaelsons helped build the town and ruled it for many years! \o/

And speaking of tie-ins, did you know that Grimm and The Beauty and the Beast have their own tie-in series, too? \o/

I used to really care about ratings. I was obsessed with them. Following them closely, despairing when my shows didn't do well... And I might again, my interest come and go in circles, after all. But these last few days taught me one thing: I can and will always find a new show to watch, another show to obsess about. Lose one, find one.

I've given up on so many shows this season, like Gotham and Sleepy Hollow among the most famous. And now I'm thinking of dropping NCIS:LA. I've been bored silly with it this season. And now the spoilers that I've come across make me less than excited about the show... ) The only thing still keeping me going now is Densi. And that's not enough because that's going nowhere fast, either, so...

But at the same time, I became once again interested in Hannibal and I found a delightful little show called Grantchester to watch. And I became obsessed, LITERALLY OBSESSED - yes, capital letters were needed - with The Originals, with Klaus and Elijah Mikaelson, them and Rebekah, too. As you know, I've always had a weakness for brothers and Klaus and Elijah take their love and obsession with each other to completely new levels. I also love that they stand together against their father, Mikael, and against their mother, Esther, and Kol and Finn, their brothers whom she dragged over on her side, that it's them against the world - the occasional fratricide between them aside, of course.

Also, I love that the Original Family embraces unashamed brutality. They all kill without mercy, without hesitation, without shame. Even Elijah, whom they call the "Honorable One" has no qualm to rip someone apart. NICE! Look at them!

This also means, I'll have to watch TVD S2-4, because that's where the Original Family was introduced... Ah, the sacrifices we make for love ;)
