don't be dull, be fannish

I love this movie so much - I saw it twice in the cinema! - but I think... I think rather because of its potential than the story itself. I adore the world of Tron in general - but Tron/Rinzler in particular!

Gosh, it's so hard to explain properly just how much I adore Tron and how much Rinzler fascinates me. Like, why did Clu keep Tron and only turned him into Rinzler? Why? I mean, Tron was the best security program ever, it would make sense for Clu to keep him. On the other hand, Tron was also fanatically loyal to Flynn - so, was it just common sense, pragmatism that made Clu keep Tron or was it out of spite, basically his revenge on Flynn that he made Tron his pet, like, literally with that purring sound? So, so, SO FASCINATING! Gosh, why aren't there more fics?

Also, BRUCE FRICKIN' BOXLEITNER! I'm still so infatuated with the man. Ever since Scarecrow and Mrs. King! And then Babylon 5! Gosh, he as Sheridan! That character was everything, literally EVERYTHING I wanted him to be. From a simple captain to a war leader to a galactic president to a god! EPIC! Sheridan/Delenn is still one of my favorite OTPs, even after so many years! Goshy, I need to re-watch both shows!

But back to this movie - the music! Best piece Daft Punk has ever written. Listen to it with your headphones on and the sound turned up. Wow! Just... wow! The sound mixing in general was amazing - like when the programs chanted Rinzler's name in the arena. Wow!

Now my head is full of Tron/Rinzler centric fic ideas. Yes, you really don't have a clue just how much I adore this character. It's Leto Atreides II level of adoration, folks! \o/

OMG! OMG! OMG! *runs in circles* You remember me gushing about Tron: The Animated Series? First promo is out: link. And it looks A-awesome! Hopefully, the series will do the promo justice.

I went to see Tron again, this time with matimate. We wanted to see it in 3D but their projector went kaboosh and there was no sound. So, we had to settle for 2D. Thus I've seen it both in 3D and 2D. 3D = better picture quality. 2D = better sound quality, don't ask me why ::shrugs::

But man, the movie was just as good the second time around! I still love Rinzler to pieces! He's the most awesome thing about the whole movie. I just love it when he pulls out his disc and then splits it apart and assumes his fighting stance - that looks so incredibly, incredibly cool! *bounces* When the computer announced "Release Rinzler", I almost did a jiggle in my seat :P

Man, I haven't been this excited about a movie for... I don't even know for how long. Probably since Fast & Furious!
