Fast & Furious! The Middleman! SG audiobooks "A Necessary Evil", "First Prime" and "Impressions"! And Holly Scott and Jaime Duncan's SG-1 book "Siren Song"! And I also managed to snag SG-1's "Survival of the Fittest" used so now, the only book that I'm missing is SGA's "Halcyon"! I feel like floating on a cloud of glee!

Also, the book that I'm reading now - Marcus Pelegrimas' "Blood Blade" - is quite good so far! It's one of those that I need to review for my boss :)

And I'm pondering a huge order from Amazon.de - manga and books that I've wanted for some time... *bounces*

I never cared if I had bluray, latest tech etc, but but but now, with F&F having all the extras in bluray, I wants it!!! ... looking at players and tvs now ahead of the UK bluray release in September *g*

Even though I live in the Czech Republic, I buy DVDs from Amazon US - believe it or not, it's cheaper for me than from the UK O.o Also, I can be sure that the US version does have all the extras promised.

I don't buy Blu Ray, I don't have a BR player, I don't even own a DVD player. I watch all all the DVDs on my 'puter :) It's much more convenient and I don't hog the TV - my mum doesn't speak English.

This is where my tech ignorance comes to the fore - so I can watch bluray on my laptop!? Fantastic :)

As for US dvds, I wish I could buy them (same reasons - all extras), but my laptop is from the UK and apparently, US and Canada things can't be played on them, or it locks them out after playing them two or three times. That's what we found with the dvds we got in Canada.

I ~think~ that you can buy a BR player for your computer - but you have to have a digital link between the comp and your monitor? I'm still in analog times ;P So for me, it's good old DVDs, not BR.

I have my comp set to R2 reg. but the freeware software VLC plays the R1 DVDs just fine nonetheless. But only VLC. I have no idea why.

You know what? I've been resisting like mad buying that US F&F, like mad! - but I'm going to go ahead now and just do it! I have VLC, I'll try it. That way I can get the special edition normal DVD from the US, which you can only get in bluray here.

Thanks for the info! :)
