I finished watching TW and let me tell you - the last ep of S2? I cried my eyes out, like for real *sniff*

I never liked Owen much - sorry, but he was just too big a jerk for my liking - but Tosh and Owen dying... That was so incredibly sad. And the fact that Owen didn't know that Tosh was shot and dying too, that was even worse, actually.

Another tearjerker was Jack's brother. It was killing Jack.

And Cpt. John was awesome. At first, he seemed to be the bad guy, but his woobie eyes when he had to bury Jack! James Masters was awesome. I truly believed that he was in love with Jack. I mean, so far, they have portrayed John as a self-centric jerk, but in that episode, he hurt so much for Jack...

Does anybody know if the show was renewed beyond Children of Earth?

I'm right there with you on Owen. He was never more interesting than when he was dying. I'll miss Tosh more.

Yes, I will miss Tosh more. Though her obsession with Owen was getting on my nerves too, to be honest. I mean, she was a competent, gorgeous woman but she followed Owen like a puppy even though he treated her like dirt :(

It just occurred to me:

she was a competent, gorgeous woman but she followed Owen like a puppy even though he treated her like dirt

That's exactly what I dislike about the House/Cuddy relationship...

My feelings exactly. I mean, Wilson's probably the only person that can hold his own against House. Sure, he takes a lot from him but he's also the only one who can really hurt House. It's quite interesting.

There isn't a season three this year, but there is a special mini-series due to air...shortly, in fact. End of July, I believe. One story told in five parts over five consecutive nights. Jack, Ianto and Gwen grieving and trying to pick up the pieces and carry on in the face of some imminent catastrophe or other. Beyond that remains in the lap of the gods - or, y'know, the BBC. I don't think a decision has been made - depends on a few factors.

I never liked Owen until he died and suddenly started to become interesting - his and Tosh's deaths really are heartbreaking.

Yes, I know of the Children of Earth mini-series. I was curious about the future of the show. The mini-series is coming out on DVD soon, isn't it? Did BBC already air it in the UK?

It hasn't aired yet, no - in July, I think, and airing in the US at the same time, which I think is a first. The Beeb are pretty quick off the mark on DVD releases for stuff like this, so it's probably coming out immediately after it airs.
