SG-1 vs. SGA

You know, I was thinking about why I liked SGA better than SG-1 - besides McShep, that is ;P - and I think that it had a lot to do with the setting. I mean, SGC was a real military base: concrete, tunels, grey and khaki colors - a place people go to work and escape as soon as possible. Whereas Atlantis was a real home, I guess: copper walls, bubbly water decorations, sunny balconies, awesome views... The crew loved it like a home and defended it like a home, not just a military base. I never got that feeling watching SG-1...

Good point. Atlantis is definitely prettier than the SGC and it is a home, not just their base of operations. I still don't know if I like SGA more than SG-1, but I like Atlantis better than the SGC. *g* (Note to self: make Atlantis icon.)

I'm not sure why exactly but for me, SGA clicked somehow better - once they got rid of Ford and replaced him with Ronon, that is! *bounces*
