The Ugly and the Con :)

The Czech TV network Prima is filming the Czech version of Ugly Betty. In Czech, it's Ošklivka Katka - my name, woo! - and even though I don't like the series per se, I love the title song by Ewa Farná. If you want to see the clip, here is the YouTube link.

I finally saw clips from the Supernatural LA con - BabyBlueSteel over at YouTube never disappoints - and I noticed a few things...

* Maybe for the first time ever, Jensen was totally relaxed and comfortable. Just to hear him talk about Mystery Spot made me smile like a goof :)

* On the other hand, Jared seemed a bit strained and it was obvious that he was kinda sad/hurt that on the J2 panel, most questions were directed at Jensen so that sometimes he answered even though he wasn't directly asked, to not just sit there, holding the mike :'( That made me so sad that even if I had a question for Jensen, I would have asked Jared something instead...

* Kripke is as enthusiastic as ever, our residential geek and I love him for it. Though again, it seemed like he was disappointed by the nitpickiness of his fans. It was especially obvious when he was talking about Bela. He loves, adores Bela and it seems like he is very sad/hurt that probably for the first time ever he and his fans are at odds in something this big - as he said, he didn't like Jo either (the character, not the actress). As you know, I hate Bela to pieces - her character makes me literally nauseauted because I hate women like her in RL - so I'm truly excited that he will do something about her but he was rather unhappy about that.

* Frederic Lehne - can that guy be more adorable?

* I have yet to see Chad Lindenberg's and Steve Carlson's panels so I can't comment on that. Though I really adore Steve's music, especially Pinata Novia...

* I have yet to see a person more nervous and jittery than Sandy. The poor girl :D

* So it really was forbidden to make vids at the con, as one of the YouTube girls said - they caught her filming twice. But I don't get why. Did the actors themselves asked for this? Though based on the fact that they joked about it, I don't think so. So what's the reason? It's not like anybody will try to sell those vids. Sure, if it was like the Paley Festival, where they were making their own vid and wanted the fans to buy it, I would understand that. But since they were not, I think that the organizers were a bit too paranoid - it's a con, not the Fort Knox and we are fans, not master mind criminals with nefarious plans *rolls eyes* So yeah, that left a bad aftertaste in my mouth :(

There wasn't any vidding/photo problem in Chicago and i really wondered about that now.
It was good to see Jensen more relaxed in L.A. and overall, the guys were funny and amazing.

I have no idea what was with the rule. Did they explain it? I hate it when someone just states something without any explanation whatsoever :(

I feel a little bad for Jared - he gives a lot of love to the fans and he isn't getting as much back - it must be hard. Since I have billions of questions for him - I woudl ask him a question anyway. LOL

people arn't gonna be tactful - they just arn't. I wish they woudl be 'cause it takes both of them to make the show.

Well I guess I can kinda of get it - I mean if I had a chance to ask them questions I may not have one planed for Jensen.

I agree about Jared. I would have definitely asked him a question, even if I had one for Jensen (although I wouldn't have one for Jensen if I went... I have plenty for Jared, though). It was really a lack of tact, I think. People should NOTICE things like this and do something about it.

Exactly! I mean, come one, why not ask both of them? People just don't understand that they can hurt others with their tacklessness :(

I`ve only seen one short clip so I didn`t notice it but it is indeed kinda tacky. Why not do the "I have a question for both of you" thing in a joint panel, if it`s something character-related I`m sure every fan has burning issues about both of them and if it`s something like favorite whatnot, it`s easily a two-fer.

Well, what can I say, something "majority rules" and "customers come first" is a good thing. *g* If he finds the financing he can do a spin-off with her, it would solve the problem of getting her out of the show I like and for those who do like her they could watch this too.

Hehe, I hate Bela to pieces so I'm quite happy about the latest development. Though I would not mind a spin-off about the Roadhouse per se. I mean, Ellen, Jo and Ash in a series. That could be interesting :)

Heh. I finally saw the clip where Kripke talks about Bela and is all flustered and surprised the character didn`t take. I`m sorry but with the way she was written? Blind aliens four galaxies away could have seen it coming. She hit way too many of the fannish no-go`s and the "always coming out on top at the expense of the lead characters" never works unless the lead characters are hated.

Well, at least we don`t have to deal with Al/Miles "you don`t love Lana? wait till we`ve stuffed her down your throat some more". Oh boy.

Though I would not mind a spin-off about the Roadhouse per se. I mean, Ellen, Jo and Ash in a series. That could be interesting :)

Maybe as a sitcom. :)
