Blood Ties rulez!

So, last night? I watched three episodes of Blood Ties in a row and that show rulez at life! I mean, I know that it's different from the books - I did read some of them - but when you watch it as something stand-alone with no ties to the books, it's a really good show. Definitely better than Moonlight!
And it makes me wonder why Lifetime actually left out the gay part... I mean, Christina Cox played a lesbian in a movie, Dylan Neal played a gay on Dawson's Creek, IIRC, so it couldn't be the actors... But on the other hand, it doesn't actually surprise me that they didn't make Henry omni-sexual *lol* like in the books because American networks do tend to shy away from homosexuality themes...
Anywayz! I love Kyle Schmid as Henry *points at her icon* He is great and I love his smugness whenever he has to deal with Mike :D He's excellent!
They can't cancel this show *iz scared* I mean, I know that they made only 20 eps to begin with and they never said that they would make more but... but...
Which reminds me that I really need to buy the last book in Huff's "Smoke and..." series. Too bad that it's only a trilogy. Tony deserves a proper - and long - series of his own *pouts*

Date: 2007-10-22 01:39 pm (UTC)I wouldn't mind the show without Correen because as amusing as she was... she just didn't click with me in this role. I think she was way too old for it and it showed.
I'm crossing my fingers here, hoping that they do more eps! But I will definitely be buying this series on DVD! *nods*

Date: 2007-10-22 06:46 pm (UTC)I never read the books, so I can't really say if I thought she was too this or that. I think in the beginning she was okay, but more towards the middle/end of the airings in the spring, and especially now, shes sorta annoying.
I am hoping they relase it on DVD cuz I want it as well. Its as you said, not the greatest, but really good!! I actually want to get the books and read them now.
And seeing as the writer has a lot to do with the show, maybe she can work something out with them having more to work with for more episodes (another season). Lets hope!!
