So, last night? I watched three episodes of Blood Ties in a row and that show rulez at life! I mean, I know that it's different from the books - I did read some of them - but when you watch it as something stand-alone with no ties to the books, it's a really good show. Definitely better than Moonlight!

And it makes me wonder why Lifetime actually left out the gay part... I mean, Christina Cox played a lesbian in a movie, Dylan Neal played a gay on Dawson's Creek, IIRC, so it couldn't be the actors... But on the other hand, it doesn't actually surprise me that they didn't make Henry omni-sexual *lol* like in the books because American networks do tend to shy away from homosexuality themes...

Anywayz! I love Kyle Schmid as Henry *points at her icon* He is great and I love his smugness whenever he has to deal with Mike :D He's excellent!

They can't cancel this show *iz scared* I mean, I know that they made only 20 eps to begin with and they never said that they would make more but... but...

Which reminds me that I really need to buy the last book in Huff's "Smoke and..." series. Too bad that it's only a trilogy. Tony deserves a proper - and long - series of his own *pouts*

I've never actually seen it, so I'll have to check that out.

Don't expect anything spectacular though. It's a very low budget show. But I love the way they portray the characters :)

I've heard good things on it. Btw, "SPN" is a low-budget show, too.

Really? 40+ mil. is a low budget? I have no idea what an average TV show costs.

Me too, me too! It's really cool, especially for a low budget TV show.

I love Blood Ties. I have watched it from the beginning. And just so you know, they did a full 22 episode season. It just sucks the way they handled it. We got the first 12 episode starting back in March when it first aired. And then 2 weeks ago on Friday (this Friday is the 3rd Friday) they started with the remaining 10. Although I think they are trying to label these 10 episodes as season 2. I do think they plan on possibly doing more, because they talked to Gina Holden, and she said she wouldn't be returning to her character of Correen because she is now doing Flash. I guess only time will tell though. Glad you enjoy the show!

I've been following this show from the very beginning because I'm a big fan of Christina Cox. She rulez!

I wouldn't mind the show without Correen because as amusing as she was... she just didn't click with me in this role. I think she was way too old for it and it showed.

I'm crossing my fingers here, hoping that they do more eps! But I will definitely be buying this series on DVD! *nods*

I haven't seen Christina in anything else, but I love her portrayal of Vicki!!

I never read the books, so I can't really say if I thought she was too this or that. I think in the beginning she was okay, but more towards the middle/end of the airings in the spring, and especially now, shes sorta annoying.

I am hoping they relase it on DVD cuz I want it as well. Its as you said, not the greatest, but really good!! I actually want to get the books and read them now.

And seeing as the writer has a lot to do with the show, maybe she can work something out with them having more to work with for more episodes (another season). Lets hope!!

Tanya Huff wrote the script for the ep 1x09, the one about the medusa. That's why the ep had more depth :)

I loved Christina Cox in F/X with Cameron Daddo and as the baddie in two eps of due South.
