I'm not sure if I'm happy with how the anime ended. And I'm not talking of Inaho and Seylum, I'm glad that they didn't become an item, I loved them as friends and I would prefer to see Inaho with Inko or Rayet. And I liked the count who Seylum got engaged to, he seemed like a decent person who actually respected her wishes. I'm speaking of Slaine. He was a lying snake who would've betrayed his grandmother to get what he wanted, the way he treated the princess, both princesses, actually, he lied to them, used them, imprisoned them... yet insisted he was doing it for them, for their sake - that's the talk of an abuser, a psychopath right there. Yet I didn't like how he ended. imprisoned for life while everybody thought he was dead, only he, the other knights got free. That was very unsatisfying. I know that Seylum asked Inaho to save Slaine but I didn't see this as saving, to be honest. He lived but caged like an animal, in shackles. I would've preferred if he had died on the Moon Base, together with his followers. This? This was dying by degrees.
So, to sum it up, great mecha, fantastic action, amazing music - but the ending left me a bit... eh.
