Now I Can't Unsee
Oct. 16th, 2013 01:18 pmWhen I suggest a threesome might be a more expedient solution to at least some of Peeta’s problems, [Josh Hutcherson who plays Peeta] immediately agrees: “I know Peeta would be into it, for sure. He’s very sensitive, in touch with his emotions. I think it really might solve a lot of their problems. You know what? I’m going to pitch that idea. Let’s make it a—what’s it called when three people are in a relationship together? A triad?” He rolls his eyes at his own enthusiasm. “That’ll go over well with Middle America.”

Oh, wow! Can you actually imagine it? The Hunger Games with a Katniss/Peeta/Gale threesome? I now can't unsee it. Katniss and Gale are such Alpha personalities but Peeta is definitely Omega material. Man, and I now need to read a fic with this threesome set in the Alpha/Omega universe. Sheesh...

This manga is beautifully drawn and it has a really interesting story. So, why only 3 stars? Because it got terribly confusing at times. I mean, hints at things to come or at things past are great - but they should never confuse the reader to the point when he or she becomes lost. And that happened to me a few times when I wasn't sure who was talking about whom and in what connection they stood.
Still, a good manga worth following, I think.

Why lame? Because of the godawful romantic subplot! Why, oh, why did Caleb had to find his One True Love? It was so unnecessary. And the actress was terrible! If they had focused more on the struggle between Caleb and Chase and less on Caleb making googly eyes on Sarah, it would've been so much better.
Speaking of Caleb and Chase - gosh, they had such amazing chemistry, Steven Strait and Sebastian Stan respectively. The fight in the girls' room, when Chase smashed Caleb into the mirror and then kissed him on the lips... Sheesh on a pogo stick! Talk about UST *fans herself*
Oh, and another thing I loved? The friendship between Caleb and Poque, that was great. I loved that Chase got to Caleb through Poque, that was kinda awesome. But then, I'm a big fan of h/c, so...
But really, the star of this movie was Sebastian Stan. He was bounds and leaps ahead of everyone else, acting-wise. They really should've used that more...
