Okay, I now get what everybody meant when they squeed about episodes 110 and 111. Wow, just wow. The ending of 110... The setting, the music, all the FEELINGS!!! Reese thanked Finch! And Finch came despite being told not to and... and... he WORRIED! And... and then 111 and Finch being all mother-henny... and the books and the cushion... and the coordinated HEAD-TILT when they watched the feed! And "I should poke him in the eyes?!" They are precious! I just love that they are now actually poking fun at each other. Seriously, I want to cuddle them and pet them and call them George *happy sigh*

And Carter, being all smart and competent and kick-ass and fearless and loyal and a great mother too. All that in one awesome package? You go girl! \o/

I need to get this show on DVD ASAP. I think that, once I do have the box set, I will marathon it again. It's just so good! Like, the endings of episodes, always with the music, so perfect...

Star Trek aside, you know why I love JJ Abrams so much? Because his shows are ORIGINALS, not remakes, reboots, reimaginings or whatever-re-ings. Take PoI, take Fringe... Wonderful.

This is just me rambling, watch me vomit words...

So, let's talk about John Watson. Doyle's John Watson, I mean. I just started reading "The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes", the very last anthology in the series and the only one I haven't read yet. And the first story in my version is "The Adventure of the Illustrious Client" which starts with Watson mentioning it's the year 1902 and he doesn't live with Holmes at the moment, having his own pad. Which made me think...

Why did Watson keep going back to Holmes? I mean, at the very beginning, it was about money. But later on, he got a practice of his own and his own money. I get that it was basically Doyle's Swiss cheese memory that lead to this on and off rooming* - but that aside, why would he keep going back? Did Holmes create artificial crises to lure him back? Did Watson simply miss his friend? Didn't his practice prosper enough? An interesting thing to ponder...

* It's like with Watson's injury - was it his shoulder or his leg? - or his wife/wives. Did Watson have only one wife or two or three? I subscribe to the theory of one wife and a forgetful Doyle.

And speaking of Watson's wives - I can't believe that nobody has ever written a book/short story or made a movie where Watson actually murdered his wives and Holmes helped him cover his tracks - or where it was Holmes who murdered them to lure Watson back. I mean, seriously, both scenarios simply beg to be explored.

“Look,” I said. “I don’t give a wet slap whether you’re gay or not. But I have to ask. How can Roger be your... partner, when he’s also your stepbrother?”

Harry smiled crookedly. “If his being a hellspawn doesn’t bother me, why should anything else?"

Miguel Ferrer AKA Owen Granger is being upped to a regular next season. He will also star in the NCIS:LA spin-off should it get a pick-up. Source: Deadline.com. --> Honestly, I don't know what to think of it. I like the team as it is. It feels like there's already enough characters for the writers to juggle.

Said NCIS:LA spin-off also cast its first actors - John Corbett as the lead and Edwin Hodge (Aldis Hodge's brother) as one of the geeks. Sources: link & link --> I'm curious about the spin-off. If they manage to capture the chemistry of the previous two shows...

I don't blame Reese for trying to find out more about Finch. I mean, Finch knows everything about him and even Finch himself admitted that their relationship was rather unbalanced because of that. I hope Finch will start trusting Reese more soon and that he will tell him what's going on because I bet this skulking around and the thing with Nathan's kid will come back and bite Finch in the ass.

And who was the mysterious hacker in 113? Curiouser and curiouser!
