As you probably noticed, I've been more into movies than TV shows lately. I just can't find any enthusiasm for TV in me these days, I don't know why. But it has its merits, too. What? Since I started watching more movies, I stopped worrying about TV ratings.
You see, I used to watch TV shows with one eye aimed at their ratings, always worrying about how they were doing, what their chances for renewal were... It was always in the back of my mind. Yeah, I'm a worrier, sue me. But now? It doesn't really affect me, not in any deeper than a "huh, interesting" way. Take The Mentalist and Castle, for example - both hit series low with their latest episodes (in both cases it was lead-in related). But instead of being all anxious about it, I mostly feel... I mean, if it's their last season, I wouldn't mind. The same goes for other shows that hit their rock bottoms lately, like Haven or Warehouse 13. It happens.
It's a really interesting state of mind for me. I've never been particularly zen about stuff like that. And now I am. Strange.
Talk about ratings. Looper topped the theater charts in both UK (Ł2.4 mil.) and Australia ($2.9 mil.). Interesting. Still waiting for that record breaking Chinese box office number. I'm now really curious :P
