SHIELD!

ABC greenlit a live-action Marvel series called S.H.I.E.L.D., set in the same universe as the whole Avengers franchise! The pilot will be written and possibly even directed by Joss Whedon himself! What he said about it:

"The storyline for the proposed series will be largely 'autonomous' from the Avengers sequel feature. The series will revolve around the activities of the SHIELD org governing body for the superheroes featured in Avengers." Source.

It's too bad that Cobie Smulders is tied to HIMYM on CBS, I would have loved to see her as the main character, Maria Hill. Still - isn't it just SO COOL!?

Jack Ryan reboot

The Jack Ryan reboot starring...



... Chris Pine and directed by Kenneth Branagh finally got a release date, Dec. 25th 2013; filming will start ASAP: source. The funny thing? Paramount is also courting Tom Hardy for the movie: source. You know...



... the guy who was with Chris Pine in This Means War? Where they both played secret agents? They want Tom Hardy for the part of John Kelly who would then get his own spin-off, Without Remorse. It looks like Paramount wants him really, really badly.

Wouldn't it be sweet to see these two in an action movie together again? I hope it does happen. Please, please, PLEAAAAAAAAAAASE?! *crosses both fingers and toes*

Looper's rating

Also, Looper will be rated R for "strong violence, language, some sexuality/nudity and drug use." Source. REALLY interesting. I thought it would be PG-13. R means more brutality and gore, not some vanilla stuff - on the other hand, it means less box office draw which is a bummer :(

Dick: Well, you think I should make her be my daughter? Because that's doable.

Mary: Will they be living with us?

Loved the extras. The making of an episode. To perform in front of a life audience in a studio must be terrifying. The show itself looks like they filmed it in close quarters yet when you look behind the camera? Sheesh on a pogo stick, there were SO MANY people there!

I also loved the interview with John Lithgow, when he talked about the other actors and the writing and how he got the part and how much fun he had... Aww! Loved what he said about JGL: "Joey Gordon-Levitt grew up with us. I mean, he was 13 years old, we brought him up, we were like his extra three parents. He's such a great actor. I mean, at 13 he had already done more movies that I had."

Aaaaaaaaaaaand I'm done with season 2! *throws confetti*
