For me, this fandom has always been about House and Wilson, everything else was just... there, mostly to be skipped over. But I preferred not to get in the middle of the "Huddy" vs. "Hilson" war. Both sides were bonkers, to be honest *scared*

Fic rec: Sherlock

"Mental" Boeshane42 | John/Sherlock | AU | Sherlock Holmes is a patient in a closed psychiatric ward. John Watson is his new psychiatrist. | 18.000 words

“I've no intention of staying here beyond the one year mark,” Sherlock states offhandedly. His mouth snaps shut after he says it and he looks briefly as if he'd like to take the words back.

John looks at him, tries to capture his gaze, but Sherlock keeps his face turned sideways. “Sherlock...?” John licks his lips, tries to calm his suddenly racing heart. “Sherlock, what do you mean by that?”

“Nothing, John.” Sherlock sends him a smile that seems far from genuine. “Honestly, I don't even know what I'm saying.”

I felt so, so sorry for Sherlock in this fic. And for John too. He tried so hard to understand what was wrong with Sherlock...

Wonderful interview!

This is a wonderful interview with Benedict Cumberbatch: link. He seems like a genuinely warm human being, the way he talks about his friends and family...

One emotional turning point in Cumberbatch's journey to acting came when he played the role of Antonio Salieri in a university production of Peter Shaffer's Amadeus.

"My father ... turned to me," Cumberbatch recalls, "and he said, 'You're better than I ever was or could be. You should do this for a profession — I think you'd have a good time.' And that's a huge thing for a man to say to his son, and — not necessarily true, I might add, he's a wonderful actor himself — but it was so encouraging and supportive."

Cumberbatch says it was "a moment of extraordinary humility and pride" — and that from then on, the knowledge of his parents' confidence gave him the nerve to pursue acting professionally.

"It was always important to have their blessing," Cumberbatch says, "and one of the reasons I get up in the morning is to make them proud."

Aww! Could he be any sweeter?! \o/

Any Warehouse 13 peeps on my flist?

I read about what happened to Steve Jinks in the season finale. Which is why I'm still reluctant to finish the season. He's my favorite character in the show these days, his presence actually breathed life into it after the extremely boring season 2. I got stuck around 305 and once I read the spoilers... eh.

But today, spoilers for S4 were posted: ( I'll cut them! )
