With ACTA hanging over our heads, I'm honestly thinking of dropping all the shows I follow "live", Supernatural included.

Don't get me wrong, I still adore SPN like whoa, I want to cuddle it and pet it and call it George but downloading shows might come VERY costly soon and also, SPN has become very serialized in its later seasons and all the hiatuses the CW is forcing upon it kill the momentum - I mean, in 2012, we had 2 eps and a hiatus, now there will be 2 or 3 eps and another hiatus. WTF?! I think this show would benefit from marathoning, the way Fringe does.

I watch the following shows "live": Castle, NCIS, NCIS:LA, White Collar, The Mentalist, Grimm & Supernatural. Out of those, I don't own only The Mentalist and Grimm on DVD - and I do want to get Grimm once it's out because it's awesome. So...

Another reason is that I own tons of DVDs that I haven't seen yet: all of SG-1, The Highlander, Enterprise, ST: TOS, The Dresden Files, Starsky&Hutch, Babylon 5, Farscape, Sherlock Holmes, The X-files..., not to mention the movies and other TV series that I buy season for season, not as a full series box set.

So, I think I'll finish watching WhiCo - only 4 eps remain, if I'm not mistaken - catch up on the downloaded stuff and get the next ep of NCIS:LA because that one I've been waiting for since... forever and then I'll start actually watching my DVDs.

Of course, I still might change my mind - wouldn't be the first time ;P

So many flavors! You just want to dig in and stuff yourself silly with the awesome! I mean, just today, I came across books like My Dearest Holmes by Rohase Piercy or A Study in Lavender: Queering Sherlock Holmes by Joseph R. G DeMarco or Elementary Erotica by Peter Tupper or Kissing Sherlock Holmes by T.D. McKinney! I mean, the Holmes universe is basically a free-for-all so anybody can run with any idea they choose and it's still Sherlock Holmes. It's sanctioned fanfiction! \o/ And I love it!

Also, has anybody seen The Private Life Of Sherlock Holmes? Link. It's an old movie that's considered a comedy but from what I heard, it's really lovely. I remember Gatiss and Moffat mentioned it in the commentary to A Scandal in Belgravia. And it's really cheap, only 3.29Ł!

This audio commentary was with Mark Gatiss, Steven Moffat, Sue Vertue and Russell Tovey - and it was kinda boring. Maybe because I'm not a fan of Russell's, he doesn't appeal to me in any way, not as an actor and not his parts. I would've very much preferred an audio commentary to The Reichenbach Fall with Andrew Scott. Such an opportunity missed :(

There were only a few interesting bits in the commentary, my favorite was the part about Rupert Graves! )

Other than that, it was really boring. The first commentary with Benedict Cumberbatch and Lara Pulver was much better because they talked about their characters, about filming the scenes. Russell Tovey had nothing to say about his part or the filming - when Mark Gatiss asked him outright about how he approached his part, he completely blanked out. Eh.
