Comicbookmovie.com posted the latest still from The Hobbit and it's lovely:

I can't get over the fact how utterly perfect Martin Freeman is for a hobbit. His pocket sized frame, the ears... Sweet! I didn't see LOTR in the cinema but I really want to see this, for Martin Freeman if for nothing else *_*

His Last Bow by Arthur Conan Doyle

3.5 stars out of 5

Not as good as the previous collections, maybe because it was a bit shorter, with only a handful of stories and very little was revealed of Holmes and Watson, of their background and personal life, in them.

My favorite stories were The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans where we found out more about Mycroft and The Adventure of the Dying Detective where Holmes took ill.

The last story in this collection, His Last Bow, the epilogue to all Sherlock Holmes stories, was not a mystery at all and it was heavily influenced by the upcoming WWI. And yes, the beekeeping part was terribly out of character for Holmes - I wonder if Doyle decided to come up with the most ridiculous ending for the character he disliked so deeply, there's no other explanation for it. The last lines between Holmes and Watson felt rather sad and depressing, there was a feeling of a definite end in sight for both friends...

Watched A Scandal in Belgravia with the audio commentary. Man, I totally forgot just how beautiful the cinematography is in this show. I will have to make a series screen-cap entries of my favorite scenes, the way I did it with XMFC.

The audio commentary was with Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss, Sue Vertue, Benedict Cumberbatch and Lara Pulver. Gosh, Benedict has a beautiful voice, it's so lovely... *_*

What I remember from the commentary... )

It's too bad that The Reichenbach Fall doesn't have a commentary of its own - but I think they did it on purpose because they didn't want to accidentally reveal anything. Still, it's too bad. Especially the emotive ending would've deserved it.

But! I really loved this one. Listening to them talking, you can feel how much they enjoy working on this show. And even though I really, really hate the long hiatuses between the seasons, Steven Moffat is right in one thing: this way, every episode is something special, a real event, because with Sherlock it's all about quality, not quantity.
