THR posted a slightly spoilery interview with Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay: link. In this interview, Tim DeKay was asked about his directorial debut - he directed one of the upcoming episodes! - and about how he managed it, if he ever lost it. Tim said no. But then, Matt added jokingly:

There was that time when you started bawling. He didn't make a big deal. I found him in his trailer. I put his head on my shoulder and said, "Tim," I rocked him a little bit, "it's going to be OK."

These two! It's amazing how well Tim and Matt clicked! It makes me very happy :)

Okay, I... kinda expected more? I mean, all the reviewers were so smitten with it, I expected it to be the best thing since sliced bread - and it was really good, don't get me wrong, but it felt too... slow and overly complicated. Hm...

I freely admit that I might be still under the influence of Sherlock and its last episode that packed such a hard punch that it'll be nearly impossible for any other show to top that in the near future.

SyFy is about to start filming a new sci-fi series called Defiance with Grant Bowler playing the main character: link.

Set on a future Earth, Defiance introduces players and viewers to a world where humans and aliens live together on a planet ravaged by decades of war and transformed by alien terra-forming machines. It centers on Jeb Nolan (Bowler), the law-keeper in a bustling frontier boomtown that is one of the new world’s few oasis of civility and inclusion. Nolan is a former Marine who fought in the alien conflict and suffered the loss of his wife and child in the war. The trauma transformed him into a lone wanderer in the wilds of this new and dangerous world. Defiance seems to be blending Western and alien themes, something that last year’s feature Cowboys & Aliens attempted to do, but the series is set in the future. (...) Scott Stewart (Legion) is directing the series, which is slated to begin production April 2012 in Toronto.

Sounds good, IMHO. I'll at least check it out, I think :)
