Day 3 - Your favorite season

I would say season 1, closely followed by season 2. Not that the other seasons were BAD but these two had the brothers on the same side, fighting side by side and trusting each other, their relationship was really close. You see, I love stories about brothers but I hate it when the brothers are at odds with each other. That's why season 1 is my favorite. Season 2 already started showing first missteps, like the "awesomeness" of Jo Harvelle that the writers tried to cram down our throat :-/ I still remember how fascinated I was with the pilot and with the chemistry between Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.

How does the show end? Spoil me, please? I stopped watching around the time Crockett lost his memory and actually became the drug dealer he had used as his false identity.

Review: Better than book 1, definitely. I loved the team and all the supporting characters, I loved Bones' fights with Cat's mother, I loved the ending, it made me all teary-eyed. Yet, I would've done without the chapter-long sex - I know this is adult urban fantasy, but that was a bit too much and in my opinion, it stalled the plot - and the showdown between Cat and Ian was way too convoluted, the way they tried to one-up each other. Still, the book read amazingly well, it was fast-paced and I just really liked the whole cast.

Third Man Out: So many famous TV actors in this one (like Morgan Fairchild)!

Oh man, I loved Kenny Kwan. The way he made Donald hire him as his new secretary - pardon me, as his office manager! And how tried to make Donald stop drinking coffee because of how high-strung Donald was all the time. And when he called Timmy old! LOL, man he really knew how to put his foot in his mouth!

This case hit Donald really hard. When the doctor kept asking him where he would have been now, if he wasn't gay. And then, when Donald asked Tim the same thing, when he asked him if he wasn't feeling a little bit trapped too. Ouch! Timmy was so hurt because for him, it didn't matter if he was gay or not. I loved it when Timmy said that things would've been different but not necessarily better. I mean, he's so prim all the time yet he's this eternal optimist, even after they kicked him out of the seminary for being gay. And then, when Donald broke down and told Tim about his dishonorable discharge. That scene was so heartbreaking.

I really loved the last scene, when Tim was pointing out how he wouldn't have been kidnapped, shot at, threatened... if he hadn't met Donald and Donald just pulled him into the bathtub to shut him up!

You know, I liked the movies much better than the books. In the books, as much as Tim and Donald like each other, they aren't in an exclusive relationship and Donald is pretty much a slut. I love that in the movies, not only are they in a monogamous relationship, Donald doesn't even look at other guys. In this film, when that really gorgeous guy made a move on him, Donald just stopped him and told him that he was married - or as close as he could get in the US - and what was more important, he loved his partner. And that's why I love these movies!
