I was watching WhiCo's The Portrait when...

Three months and two days after the shoot-out with Fowler, Peter opens an innocent looking case file and finds an origami butterfly tucked inside, hiding among forms and crime scene photos – and that's when he finally breaks down and cries.

Clamp's "Tokyo Babylon Vol. 1+2" (manga), #10, #11

Vol.1: Even knowing how this manga series ends - I mean, this is one of the most famous stories in the history of manga, after all - it's strangely alluring. Subaru Sumeragi and Seishiro Sakurazuka, the healer and the killer... Hokuto, Subaru's twin, kinda gets on my nerves though. But the juxtaposition of Seishiro - the good-hearted vet vs. the cold-blooded Sakurazukamori... Wow. Clamp really knows how to push boundaries.

My favorite drawing? Seishiro standing by the window with the shikigami, the shadow bird, sitting on his outstretched arm.

Vol.2: It's really creepy, the way Seishiro can be so kind and caring, then as if a switch was flipped, he's suddenly heartless, cruel, even devious. I wonder if he really doesn't feel anything for Subaru, nothing at all...

I'm also happy that it's a series that the mangaka actually finished!

Fic rec: White Collar

"Monsieur Vol du Furet" by Waldo. Gen. Summary: Peter and Neal ferret out the evidence. Length: 900 words.

"What the hell is in your hand?" Peter asked, keeping a reasonable distance between himself and fur-tube that was now stretching out and crawling up Neal's arm to perch on his shoulder.

"A ferret," Neal answered and manfully swallowed the 'duh' that was aching to come out.

I'm a dog person through and through but this was so funny! "Loooooong ferret" - ha! XD

Another mini drabble!

It was nonsense, this idea of Ruiz’s that Peter had some hidden motive for getting Neal out of jail; that there was some form of attraction between them or whatever it was Ruiz suspected him of. Peter had a wife after all and even if Elizabeth and Neal were both good-looking with the dark hair and the big blue eyes, even if they were both funny and smart and... oh. Oh God!
