* Sometimes I really don't know what to write in the subject line and I hate to leave it empty *head/desk*

* No new Psych or Stargate Atlantis this week! I feel depression creeping in...

* An interesting SGA tidbit from Joe Mallozzi's blog: "We’re #1! Well, we were anyway. The #1 pirated show on BitTorrent last week, beating out the likes of the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, Psych, and Mad Men, and up from #6 the previous week. No actual hard numbers provided in the report, but one can’t help but wonder whether all those illegal downloads have been hurting the show’s ratings. The 30% bump Atlantis receives from the Live+7 numbers suggests that our viewers are tech-savvy (not all that surprising considering they are SF fans) and make use of alternate viewing resources such as Tivo, DVR, iTunes and BitTorrent. Exactly how this affected the show’s ratings is debatable and, at this point, of little consequence, but I just thought I’d mention it."

* The SGA fic author Helen loves to write McShep stories with the most awkward sex scenes ever. Like how do you tell your lover that you would prefer to be the bottom? How do you approach someone when a) you're both males and b) you're his commander? Helen writes them perfectly!

Some interesting tidbits about Jared and Jensen from the companion:
* Sam Ferris: "Working with the guys is absolutely fantastic. Those boys are two of the nicest, gentlest, most professional guys you'll ever work with. And they're hilarious."
* Jim Beaver: "What I feel toward Jared and Jensen is similar to the way Bobby feels toward Sam and Dean. It's less parent-child relationship, though, it's much more like I got a couple of kid brothers."
* Alona Tal (she was in the Israeli army!): "When you work with Jared and Jensen, they are the most hilarious duo. Together, they share a brain or something."
* Chad Lindberg: "Jared and Jensen are the two sweetest guys in the world."
* Jeffrey Dean Morgan: "Dean took (John's death) a lot harder than Sam did. I think it's because Jensen loves me more than Jared does."
* Samantha Smith: "It's funny - these maternal feelings come out in me when I'm around them, even though they're way too old to really be my kids. I do feel very protective of them and want to make sure they're doing okay."
* Jeannie Chow (key hairstylist): "(Jared's) hair gets big and curly in the rain. (...) Jensen's hair just grow so fast, you have to cut it almost twice a week so it looks the same all the time. It's like a Chia Pet. I've never seen anybody whose hair grows as fast as Jensen's."

So, I finished reading the book. Overall though, it feels like it just scraped the surface. Maybe if they cut the ep summaries to bare minimum and moved the quotes to the margins, they could squeeze much more in. Every ep commentary has the same structure - writer, director, sometimes actor, hair, makeup, props, music - so it feels a bit superficial, like it's jumping from one place to another without paying attention to anything properly. But it's still interesting and a good addition to the SPN collection :)
